INTRODUCTION

MSc Nursing 1st year and 2nd year students along with DR. Mehmooda Regu (Professor)
were posted in the community area from 04 November to 03 December 2019. The name of
the community area ‘Siurajkund’ which is located at Delhi. It is 343.5km from Baru Sahib
and 6.5km from Jamia University.
UHTC is a one of leading centre in Surajkund at Delhi. UHTC provides services to ensure
patients (who have health insurance) as well as those patients who are paying for their own
treatment. The hospital provides their 100% efforts to treat patients. They also monitor
consumer satisfaction with regard to clinical care such as the approach of the doctor,
examination, education on taking medication availability of services, waiting time and cost
providing in the outpatient department.

OBJECTIVES
 To encourage the people to actively participate in their own health care.
 Encouraging individual and community group to actively participate in the
Centre’s activities, including services planning, volunteer work.
 Promoting prevention of life style, related disease and condition, developing health
care programme and activities to improve social and physical environment in the
community.
 To ensure availability and accessibility of minimum mental health care for all in
foreseeable future, particularly most vulnerable and under privilege section of
population.

PHARMACY- Pharmaceutical care is a methodology of working with patients and their care
givers and their medications including herbals and over the counter agents and the providers
their off. It is a concept that detail with the way patients, their families, health care providers,
should receive and use medication, information about medication and instruction for use.

LABORATORY- A medical laboratory or clinical laboratory is a laboratory where clinical


pathology tests are carried out on clinical specimens to obtain information about the health of
a patient to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Clinical medical laboratory
is an example of applied science, as opposed to research laboratories that focus on basic
science, such as found in some academic institution.
We went to laboratory then met with Mr. Kushal Singh (Lab Technician) and introduce with
him. He enlists all the list of tests which are by hospital.

LABOUR ROOM- The labour room is one of the most versatile rooms in a hospital it is
called a labour, delivery, and recovery room (LDR). This is a type of room that some hospital
and almost all birth centres use for their care. Once you are pleased in a room, this is the
room that you will use for your labour and birth, including the initial hour of recovery

IMMUNIZATION ROOM-A medically supervised immunization room room is a safe and


hygienic place where people and children can inject vaccine and other injection in a
supervised health setting on Wednesday and Friday. This mean that if someone over dosages
in the room, a staff member can respond immediately.

SUMMARY
We are very thankful to our Principal Mam for giving us opportunity to visit the Urban
HealthTraining Center Surajkund and also thankful to Mrs. Mahmooda Regu Mam who
present us throughout the posting, enhance our knowledge. We started the orientation from
10:00-10:30:00pm at that time we oriented to different departments of the center like
pharmacy, DOTs room immunization room, laboratory, and labor room and there are
different Programmes run by hospital for the benefits of patients.
