Warm hospitality for Kuala Muda / Yan Secondary School Counsellors from Olympia

College

On 2 August 2010, a group of Counsellors from various schools from Kuala Muda and Yan
secondary schools visited Olympia College, Penang. The purpose of the visit is to enable
Counsellors to familiarize themselves with Olympia College, Penang’s courses and facilities.
Counsellors will then be able to provide students accurate information about Olympia College
and convince the students in making the right choice on their tertiary education.

The Counsellors arrived at Olympia College, Penang around 11.00 am followed by a tour around
Olympia College accompanied by the Principal, Pn. Nooraini Youp and staffs. A presentation on
the programmes offered in Olympia College was done by Ms Pavithrah (Marketing Executive) to
the Counsellors after the tour. The informative presentation was well-received by the
Counsellors. Then, there was a Q&A session by the Counsellors and it was clearly answered and
clarified by Pn. Nooraini, Ms Pavithrah and Ms Pathmaloshini.

After the presentation session, the Counsellors were taken to the cafeteria for lunch – chicken
rice, chicken soup, fruits and drinks prepared by the School of Hotel Management’s lecturers,
Ms Atikah, Mr Fairus and students.

After lunch was served, around 2.00pm before the Counsellors left, Olympia College’s souvenir
- umbrella was given to all the Counsellors as a token of appreciation for their visit.

Olympia College’s cutting edge and industry oriented Diploma in Business Studies programme will equip
students with the right professional skills required by the multi-national corporations. Students will be
expected to participate, debate, analyse and appreciate the thinking of the various business
leaders and their leadership styles.

recognized for exemptions and on completion of an integrated project will be awarded the prestigious
Higher National Diploma (HND) from Edexcel, UK.

This guarantees entry into 2nd year of an undergraduate degree locally or to over 200 universities in UK,
USA and Australia. Students who want an European exposure can also completed their degree through
the University of Information Technology and Management (UITM), Poland at very affordable fees.

Olympia’s Diploma in Hotel Management programme is a highly sought programme for those interested
in a successful hotel career. The hotel programme was developed with the assistance of partner
institutions and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to meet the demands of the hotel industry.

1) receive an additional Diploma from the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS)
