Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we can all be freed from sin, and so we can all live

our best lives.

Lent is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for his sacrifices, and show that he did not die in
vain. Lent allows us to grow closer to God, the church, and our families.
lent, is to put us in the place of our saviour, Jesus Christ. To give up or devote ourselves to something
other than the regular.
This season, we celebrated how Jesus died just for us to be with each other. He suffered from physical
and mental harm through the course of his life.

Lent is a time where we can all show each other kindness and hospitality. Jesus did not suffer his entire
life to have us hate each other.

Bringing one soul to God by repentance is much better, in the eyes of God, than all other offerings, for
there is nothing in the world better for God than the human soul.
We need to take time to connect with the poor, resist our unceasing cravings and pray. But we also need
to gather with friends and family, share in God’s good provision, , tell stories that encourage us all, and
celebrate the risen Lord.
Lenten practices of giving up pleasures are a good reminder that the purpose of life is not pleasure. The
purpose of life is to attain a perfect life, all truth and undying ecstatic love—which is the definition of
God. In pursuing that, happiness, we find happiness.
Lent is a time for discipline, for confession, for honesty, not because God is mean or fault-finding but
because he wants us to know the joy of being cleaned out, ready for all the good things he now has in
store.
Lent is also a time for us to give up complaining instead focus on gratitude, give up pessimism and
become an optimist, give up worry and trust the divine providence, give up hatred and return good for
evil and most of all give up sin and turn to virtue.
Lent is a time of giving, give something however small, to the one in need. For it is not small to one who
has nothing. Neither it is small to God, if we have given what we could.
Lent offers us the practical and effective weapons of fasting and almsgiving as a means of combating an
excessive attachment to money. Giving not only from our abundance, but sacrificing something more in
order to give to the needy, fosters that self-denial which is essential to authentic Christian living.
We can think of lent as a time to eradicate evil cultivate virtue a time to pull up weeds or to plant good
seeds. Which is better is clear for the Christian ideal is always positive rather than negative.
During the season of lent which, we renew our commitment to the path of conversion, making more room
for God in our lives.
