1. Habitat center
Habitat center is a commercial building with all auxiliary facilities
along with an environment where the regional flora and fauna can
grow, creating an inter-related living merging with nature, with
energy efficiency.

DEVELOPER/CLIENT

AIM
The design of the building should be in an order creating an inter-
related living merging with nature, with energy efficiency.

OBJECTIVE

 Understanding and Research of commercial building with all

auxiliary facilities
 Emphasis on designing-landscaped area, interiors, exteriors
and the whole building
 Understanding the culture and history of Goa to implement
that in the design.
 Promotion of better architecture and built environment

Reason for selection

But people there are mostly unemployed for most of the time in a
year. Especially the women section lack in both education as well
as employment opportunities.

A Self-employment Centre where local women can learn various

skills and manufacture small products such as pickles, jute &
paper bags, toys etc. would be helpful in improving their social as
well as economic condition

Ritual Centre is a place which offers various religious activities,
ritual performing, worship place as well as acts as a center for
consciousness towards the religion

It consists of Meditation Centre, Convention Hall, Public Library

etc. which offers the visitors to enlighten their inner conscience.

AIM
as an Architecture Student to explore my creativity as well as to
return something to the society which would improve their lives.

it would also improve the Tourism in the area and would generate
source of income for the localities.

Objectives

 To generate tourism
 Helping every one understand and appreciate the potential of
different religion on common space
 To design a space which can serve as a center
 Encouraging pebbling engagement and demand

Reason for selection

Religion in Ethiopia is characterized by a diversity of religious
beliefs and practices. There are various religions in Ethiopia which
teaches human the best way to live.

Since orthodox religion is already a listed and recognized tourist

spot, It seems perfectly suitable for the Ritual Centre.
Waterfront Development and landscaping will draw tourists as
well as the pilgrims

 3.Low cost housing
Low Cost Housing is a new concept which deals with effective
budgeting and following of techniques which help in reducing the
cost construction through the use of locally available materials
along with improved skills and technology without sacrificing the
strength, performance and life of the structure.

AIM
As Architecture student, I would learn an effective and well
organized planning for low cost housing.

It will help in understanding best possible use of land and

effective circulation and interconnectivity of a housing society

Qualitative comparison explores and studies various building

materials and their use and would help in understanding the
benefits of locally available building materials.

Objectives
 To study the housing requirement of people
 To study the human behavior toward low cost housing
 To examine the present housing in regional
 Understanding The fact that Low cost housing is done by
proper management of resources.
 Economy is also achieved by postponing finishing works or
implementing them in phases

Reason for selecting

The prices of the houses have gone out of reach of common people.
Low income families can’t afford buying or constructing
conventional houses due to high cost of building materials.

But with use of affordable & locally available building materials,

affordable houses or low cost houses can be constructed.
Various building techniques can be used to minimize the overall
cost of house.

There are various local material which are cheaply and easily
available and are compatible with the local climate. So this will
encourage the use of local building materials
