Course Title: - Auto Fuel, Lubrication and Cooling system


Course Code: - AUEN 2041
Prerequisite: - Automotive Engine Fundamentals
Credit Hours: - 4
Target Group: year 2, 2nd semester,

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Basic theories of fluids in motion theory, different fuels, lubricants and coolants and construction and
operational principles of fuel, lubrication and cooling systems: all the components of the fuel, lubrication
and cooling systems such as: LPG, Fuel system: fuel lines, pumps, carburetors, lubricating systems: oil
pumps and filter: cooling systems: water pumps, radiators, thermostats, cooling system operation test etc..
(Two-stroke engine included). Perform preventive and diagnostic maintenance on the fuel, lubrication and
cooling systems.
COURSE OBJECTIVE: -
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
 Understand basic theories of fluids in motion
 Have understanding of different fuels, lubricants and coolants
 Have theoretical and practical understanding (knowledge and skill) of the operational and
constructional details of fuel (diesel and gasoline), lubrication and cooling systems.
 Have the knowledge and skill on the parts and components each of the systems.
 Use theories and construction principles of fuel systems
 Perform servicing and repair of the fuel system and all its components
 Perform servicing and repair of the lubrication system and all its components
 Perform servicing and repair of the cooling system and all its components
 Perform operation test on the fuel, lubrication and cooling systems.
 Perform preventive and diagnostic maintenance on the fuel, lubrication and cooling systems.
