Question 1
Non-bailable offence means any other offence that is shown as not bailable in the
First Schedule of CPC. An example of a non-bailable offence would be murder
(section 302 Penal Code). These offences are governed by section 388 of the
Criminal Procedure Code and bail will be at the discretion of the court. Unlike
bailable offences, bail is not guaranteed.
