Diversity refers to the wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and

observations that our community has to offer. If a community is wide -

ranging, various perspectives on issues and methods of creating meaning
emerge as a result of the community's diversity. This diversity results from
differences in culture, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual identity, economic
status, political systems, advanced skills, and/or sexual preference. Even as we
acknowledge that diversity has many facets, humans should indeed remember
that other aspects of diversity (such as sex and ethnicity) had already proven
especially difficult to comprehend. For me, diversity is defined by differences.
These distinctions could include ethnicity, sexual identity, racial group,
religious doctrine, colonization, and so on. I am confident that everywhere we
go, we will encounter diversity, because no two people are alike. In a diverse
society, accepting others who are different from you without discrimination or
prejudice is essential. Everyone, regardless of individual background, has a
purposeful ethnic background. So every culture or society has its own range of
ethics, mindsets, ideologies, and social standards that give meaning to
multiculturalism and diversity.
