

Mệnh đề mệnh lệnh (Vo )





  Có thể sử dụng can/ may/ shall/ should thay thế cho will trong trường hợp

V. CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN LOẠI 2

If + S + V(QKĐ) +.... , S + would/ could/ might + V
Lưu ý: “Tobe = were” cho tất cả các ngôi

 diễ
If the weather (to be) WERE nice, we (have) WOULD HAVE a barbecue.
If she (not/ tobe) WEREN’T his soulmate, he (never /help) WOULD NEVER HELP her.
The fields (to be) WOULD BE flooded now if it (rain) RAINED

 LỜI KHUYÊN: IF I WERE YOU, MỆNH ĐỀ CHÍNH

I (call) WOULD CALL him immediately if I were you.

 Khác biệt giữa would/ could/ might trong câu điều kiện loại 2.
would – KẾT QUẢ MANG TÍNH CHẮC CHẮN HƠN (SẼ LÀM GÌ ĐÓ)
If Peter asked Karen to marry him, she would say yes.
might – CÓ THỂ XẢY RA HOẶC KHÔNG XẢY RA (KHÔNG CHẮC CHẮN)
If Peter asked Karen to marry him, she might say yes but she might say no.
could – CHỈ MỘT KHẢ NĂNG/ KẾT QUẢ NÀO ĐÓ CÓ THỂ THỰC HIỆN ĐƯỢC

 diễn tả 1 sự việc/ hành động KHÔNG THỂ XẢY RA Ở QUÁ KHỨ

If Simon (set) HAD SET an alarm, he (not/ oversleep) WOUDN’T HAVE OVERSLEEPT
yesterday.
I (receive) COULD HAVE RECEIVED better grades than Ba last semester if I (learn) HAD
LEARNED the lessons more carefully.

cut: cắt let: cho phép LET/ MAKE + O + V
 hit: đấm/ đá put: đặt/ để

1. Unless = If not (XUẤT HIỆN ĐIỀU KIỆN LOẠI 1)
If I have time, I will help you = Unless I have time, I won’t help you
UNLESS luôn đi với mệnh đề khẳng định = IF + MỆNH ĐỀ PHỦ ĐỊNH

2. Những từ sau đây có thể thay thế IF trong câu điều kiện
Provided/ Providing (THAT): MIỄN LÀ
Supposed/ Supposing (THAT): GIẢ SỬ
In case: TRONG TRƯỜNG HỢP
Even if: THẬM CHÍ NẾU
As long as/ So long as: MIỄN LÀ

3. Đảo ngữ với IF

Had you revised carefully, you wouldns’t have failed the exam.
= If you had revised carefully, you wouldns’t have failed the exam.
