1. Read and respond to a story by underline and list
out the characters.
2. Give a name to a hot air balloon and decorate it
using coloured papers.

ACTIVITIES :  Teacher shows a movie poster and ask them if

 Pupils guess the name of the girl on the cover.
 Teacher introduces the story to the pupils.
II. LESSON : Presentation:
DEVELOPMENT 1. Teacher shows the movie trailer about the story.
2. Pupils discuss about the trailer.
3. Teacher divided the class into group of four.
4. Each group read the synopsis of the story.

Practice:
1. In group of four, read the synopsis again and
discuss about the characters in the story.
2. Pupils underline the characters and list out in i-
think round map.
3. Pupils present their answer.
4. Pupils fill in the blanks with suitable words.
5. Pupils discuss the answer.

Production:
1. Teacher distributes the worksheet to pupils.
2. Pupils use different coloured papers to decorate
the hot air balloon (collage).
3. Pupils give the balloon a name.
4. Pupils present their work in front of the class.

III. POST-LESSON :  Teacher recalls what happened when Dorothy


had a chance to go home on the hot air balloon.
Teacher asks questions to elicit responses from
the pupils.
