WORKING PLAN
We selected the topic "What are the

requisite traits for a good leader" under

group A category 'interview'. Since the

situation is not favorable for an usual

interview due to COVID 19, we chose to

use digital forms. We first studied about

leadership and its requisite qualities for a

good leader with the help of a few books

and websites which gave us an idea to

create valuable questionnaire.

Then we prepared a set of questionnaire.

Then we collected responses through

online mode from people of various age

groups. We carried out this process in the

Forms App to exchange our questionnaire

and to collect responses. A variety of

responses brought us to the conclusion

that different people have varying

opinions and views

RESEARCH
Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an
organization. Leadership, both as a research area and as a
practical skill, encompasses the ability of an individual,
group or organization to "lead", influence or guide other
individuals, teams, or entire organizations. The word
"leadership" often gets viewed as a contested term.
In the past, some researchers have argued that the actual
influence of leaders on organizational outcomes is
overrated and romanticized as a result of biased
attributions about leaders.
Leadership, although largely talked about, has been
described as one of the least understood concepts across
all cultures and civilizations. Over the years, many
researchers have stressed the prevalence of this
misunderstanding, stating that the existence of several
flawed assumptions, or myths, concerning leadership
often interferes with individuals' conception of what
leadership is all about.
1. Leadership is innate
2. Leadership is possessing power over others
3. Leaders are positively influential
4. Group members resist leaders
One of the more recent definitions of leadership comes
from Werner Erhard, Michael C. Jensen, Steve Zaffron, and
Kari Granger who describe leadership as "an exercise in
language that results in the realization of a future that
wasn't going to happen anyway, which future fulfills (or
contributes to fulfilling) the concerns of the relevant
parties...".
Most theories in the 20th century argued that great leaders
were born, not made. Current studies have indicated that
leadership is much more complex and cannot be boiled
down to a few key traits of an individual. Years of
observation and study have indicated that one such trait or
a set of traits does not make an extraordinary leader. What
scholars have been able to arrive at is that leadership traits
of an individual do not change from situation to situation;
such traits include intelligence, assertiveness, or physical
attractiveness.
People with these traits often tend to wholeheartedly
pursue their goals, work long hours, are ambitious, and
often are very competitive with others. Cognitive capacity
includes intelligence, analytical and verbal ability,
behavioral flexibility, and good judgment. Individuals with
these traits are able to formulate solutions to difficult
problems, work well under stress or deadlines, adapt to
changing situations, and create well-thought-out plans for
the future.
Leadership differences affected by gender.Meta-analyses
show that people associate masculinity and agency more
strongly with leadership than femininity and communion.
[113] Such stereotypes may have an effect on leadership
evaluations of men and women.
Many distinct conceptualizations are often lumped
together under the umbrella of leadership performance,
including outcomes such as leader effectiveness, leader
advancement, and leader emergence (Kaiser et al., 2008).
For instance, "leadership performance" may refer to the
career success of the individual leader, performance of the
group or organization, or even leader emergence.

GROUP REFLECTION
Our group consists of five members. Each one of us was
good individually at different sections like analyzing,
designing, organizing, encouraging, intellectual. We
spent our time mostly in analyzing the issues and
creating the questionnaire which is more valuable. It
developed a bond between us. We had a good
communication which is reflected in our project. We
worked effectively together. We understood each of our
strengths and made sure they were used properly.
While receiving many responses, we shared them
among our group to get a better understanding on
different views and opinions from different people. We
learnt a lot during this project, we co-ordinated very well
with others and finished the project with ease. Our goal
was to produce as many ideas as possible. We listened
all the ideas carefully and then we mentioned all the
ideas sheet so we don’t forget them or they don’t get
lost.
By using this approach we improved our group work a
lot and did some creative modifications as well.
In conclusion, we feel as if we built trust in our
team. This has demonstrated that a team is more than
the sum of its component parts. Crucial to what we did
was assessing and recognising our strengths and
contacts and bringing them together to create
something more powerful than any of us individually.
