Domestic Violence: Injuries: legal Drugs: Traffic Violation: OOo op Offender Name: Kennon Charles Shaw Date of Birth 07-03-1970 Highest Offense Murder Statue PC 19.02 Classification F1 Location 609 County Road 7150 SUMMARY (include additional offenses): ‘On March 9, 2022 the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in reference to a shooting at Angelwitch Cabaret, 609 County Road 7150, Lubbock County. Texas. Upon arrival of LSO deputies, a male identified as Joseph Burks was located with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Burks ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at University Medical Center. Burks was an employee of Angelwitch Cabaret. ‘A Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit (Metro) callout was initiated. Metro detectives were briefed and an investigation was initiated, Surveillance video was obtained from the Cabaret and statements were taken from witnesses on scene. The suspect in the shooting was identified as a black male wearing a blue cap, blue shirt and blue jeans. The suspect was with two other black males in the club. The surveillance video showed the suspect matching this description. The surveillance video shows the altercation between the suspect and Joseph Burks. The video shows the suspect firing a shot and Burks going down to the floor. The suspect then fires another shot at the club manager, who was not struck by the bullet. The suspect then walks out of the club and departs the club in his vehicle, a silver or light gold Lincoln Town Car with a paper buyers tag, with another male, Based on the investigation, the suspect was identified as Kennon Charles Shaw. A booking photo of Shaw matched the suspect seen in the surveillance video. Based on the investigation, Kennon Charles Shaw is known ‘Updated 05/17/17to reside at 1510 East Cornell. Officers responded to this location and located a light gold Lincoln Town Car with a paper buyers tag at this location. This is also a vehicle Kennon Charles Shaw is known to drive.
