Apparatus required:

Electricity Supply: Single Phase, 220 VAC, 50 Hz, 5-15 Amp. combined socket with earth connection.

Water Supply (Initial Fill).

Floor Drain Required.

Floor Area Required: 1.5 m x 0.75 m

1. I learned about how to calculate the total energy at different points.

2. I learned about piezometric tubes and it is used as to calculate the pressure in liquids.

3. I learned how to calculate pressure heads.

4. I learned Bernoulli equation and it states that at two sections of flow field the total energy remains
the same. Provided that there is no loss or gain of energy between the two sections. This equation is
valid only for steady flow. This equation is expressed as:

5. I learned the practical application of Bernoulli’s principle.

Sources of error:

Be careful while Measuring the pressure head by piezometric tubes to ensure correct readings.

Ensure to take the correct readings while measuring the rate of flow of water using measuring tank and
stopwatch.
