STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP)

SOP FOR MAINTAINING THE COOLING TOWER BASIN AND STAINLESS TANK
Number of people required: Three

Duration: 240mins.

Tools needed: Spanner 19 and Soft Brush

PROCEDURE:

1) Fill Up the Lower and Upper Tank (Overhead tank)

2) Stop Production
3) Put the chiller on dilution mode (this will automatically stop all the pumps)
4) Close/lock all the valve suppling water to the Cooling Tower
5) Close/lock the valve suppling water to the Stainless Tank
6) Drain the water in the Cooling Tower, remove the strainers also at the same time and Clean
7) Drain the water in the Stainless Tank.
8) Remove the Cooling Tower Vent windows and clean
9) Brush the Cooling Tower Basin Floor
10) Return the Cooling tower Vent window
11) Close all the drain Valves
12) Open all the water supply valve to Cooling Tower and stainless Tank
13) Put the Chiller on Dilution Mode
14) Start The Production.

Note: The water in the Lower Tank could have been taken by Stainless tank when refilled, so,
immediate re-filling of the tank must happen after refilling the stainless tank.
