"Let us assume then that every "thing" is interconnected, interactive, interfaced and intercultural.
Sampling is all ways experimental, in that thee potential results are not a given. We are
splintering consensual realities to test their substance utilizing the tools of collision, collage,
composition, decomposition, progression systems, random" chance, juxtaposition, cut-ups,
hyperdelic vision and any other method available that melts linear conceptions and reveals
holographic webs and fresh spaces. As we travel in every direction simultaneously the digital
highways of our Futures, the "Splinter Test" is both a highly creative contemporary channel of
conscious and creative "substance" abuse, and a protection against the restrictive depletion of
our archaic, algebraic, analogic manifestations."

(2004))
If you had the opportunity to put a video on MTV, what would the content be like?
A revolutionary video - complete anarchy and chaos. The killing of police, violence and terror
against the system, government, assassination of the president, the murder of rock stars and
music industry big shots. Slicing through the throats of MTV VJ's and having an orgy in their
blood.

Dick Hebdige, an author of “ Subculture: The Meaning of Style” suggests that, “ Normal clothing is relative to
invisibility and naturalness” but is still “ socially prescribed” relative to class and preference. Whereas the symbols
of appearance associated with a subculture are a “ substitution of normalized forms for historical forms” which are
subversive in practice.

Our objective then was to, for the cost of a dollar, be egg’d by the students of the mainstream highschool while we
danced to Slipknot. We invited them to rage against us, and to rage against everything. Recently I rediscovered the
photo documentation of the project, and wrote a poem to express my feelings on it looking back.
