5.0 Miscellaneous Requirements

5.1 Shipping Preparation

Ceramic fiber blanket insulation shall


be packaged in such a manner that the material
will not be damaged during shipment and usual
handling. The packaging shall be the
responsibility of the Seller.

6.0 Exceptions, Deviations, Alternates

The Seller is expected to supply material in


full compliance with the requirements of this
specification. All proposed exceptions, deviations
or alternates must be listed and are subject to the
express written approval by ALSTOM Power
before manufacturing of the product.

7.0 Warranty

The Seller warrants for a period of 3 years


after commercial operation the material furnished
thereunder; (a) to be free from defects in design,
labor, material or fabrication; (b) to conform to
applicable specifications, drawings, samples or
other descriptions given provided material
(physical) requirements do not exceed those
detailed in this specification; (c) to be suitable for
purposes intended; and (d) to be free from
physical deteriorations such as punking, burning,
powdering, etc., which affect the insulation
performance. The Seller agrees to replace, install
or correct promptly without expense to the
Purchaser any material not conforming to the
foregoing requirements, when notified by the
purchaser. Additionally, the Seller shall replace
or refinish lagging or plastic finish damaged as a
result of insulation defects.
