Mr. Lockwood, on his return from Wintering Heights to his home in Thrushcross
Krang, is exposed to an illness that makes him bedridden for four consecutive weeks.
In it, he was upset that he was in the house.
‫ السيد لوكوود بعد عودته من مرتفعات وينذرينغ الى منزله في ثروشكروس كرانج يتعرض لمرض يجعله طريح‬-
. ‫ كان فيها منزعج من بقاءه داخل المنزل‬. ‫الفراش لمدة اربعة اسابيع متتاليية‬

He was also bad for Heathcliff because he was the cause of his illness, but he didn't
want to hurt the feeling of Heathcliffe, who visited Mr. Lockwood once in his illness
and during that time he sits at the side of Mr. Lockwood's bed for an hour trying to
relieve Mr. Lockwood.
‫كان ايضا بسوء تجاه هيثكلف ألنه السبب في مرضه لكنه لم يود ان يجرح شعور هيثكلف الذي قام بزيارة السيد‬
‫لوكوود في مرضه مرة واحدة واثناءها يجلس لجانب سرير السيد لوكوود لساعة كاملة يحاول الترويح فيها عن السيد‬
‫لوكوود‬

He had also sent him a pair of birds as a gift for his safety, which makes the reader
discover the really good side of Heathcliffe's character, but in any case Bronte did not
go into more details about this matter.
‫كما انه كان قد ارسل له زوج من الطيور كهدية لسالمته مما يجعل القارئ يكتشف الجانب الطيب فعال من شخصية‬
. ‫هيثكلف لكن على كل األحوال لم تتطرق برونتي لتفاصيل اكثر عن هذا األمر‬

The illness made Mr. Lockwood exhausted even from reading, so it occurred to him to
ask Mrs. Nelly Dean to follow up on the story in which they reached Catherine's
marriage to Edgar after the departure of Heathcliffe, and he now asks Nelly and
guesses what had happened to Heathcliff after his departure with a set of possibilities
that made him rich. As it is now.
‫المرض جعل السيد لوكوود مرهق حتى من القراءة لذلك خطر له ان يطلب من السيدة نيلي دين ان تتابع سرد القصة‬
‫الذي وصلوا فيها لزواج كاثرين من ادغار بعد رحيل هيثكلف وهو اآلن يسأل نيلي ويخمن ما كان قد حدث لهيثكلف بعد‬
. ‫رحيله بمجموعة من األحتماالت التي جعلت منه غني كما هو اآلن‬

Nellie has no knowledge of the reasons that made Heathcliff a truly noble and wealthy
man, even that writer Emily in his novels was not accurate in explaining the reason
behind Heathcliff's mental and physical change
‫نيلي ليس لديها علم باألسباب التي جعل من هيثكلف رجل نبيل وثري فعال حتى ان الكاتبة ايميلي لم تكن في رواياته‬
. ‫دقيقة في تفسير السبب خلف تغيير هيثكلف العقلي والمادي‬
Nelly continues to tell the story. Cathy Winnelly moves to Thruscross Krang after the
marriage of Edgar and Cathy, who managed to be kind and friendly with her husband
and sister to the extent that she seems so in love with him,
‫ تنتقالن كاثي ونيلي الى ثروشكروس كرانج بعد زواج ادغار وكاثي التي تمكنت من التعامل‬، ‫تتابع نيلي سرد القصة‬
، ‫بلطف وود مع زوجها واخته للحد الذي تبدو مغرمة فيه‬

Edgar was so sensitive about everyone's treatment of Cathy that he tries in every way
to make her happy and relaxed and gets angry at any person or thing that is bothering
her
‫ادغار كان حساس جدا في معاملة الجميع مع كاثي انه يحاول بكل الطرق جعلها سعيدة ومرتاحة ويغضب من اي‬
. ‫شخص او شي يتسبب في ازعاجها‬

After half a year of this marriage, everything was calm, although Cathy was sad at
times, but Edgar respected her grief and sympathized with her, justifying that for her
serious illness that she had previously gone through.
‫بعد مرور نصف عام من هذا الزواج كان كل شي هادئ رغم ان كاثي كانت تبدو حزينة احيانا لكن ادغار احترم حزنها‬
. ‫وتعاطف معها مبررا ذلك لمرضها الخطير التي كانت قد مرت به سابقا‬

This marital happiness did not last long, as Cathy and Edgar began to feel a sense of
mutual disinterest, especially with the arrival of a person whose voice and appearance
Nellie was amazed at, especially since it was evening after her return from the garden.
‫هذه السعادة الزوجية لم تدم طويال اذ ان كاثي وادغار بدأو بشعور عدم األهتمام المتبادل وخاصة بوصول شخص‬
‫ بعد كلمات قصيرة متبادله عرف‬، ‫استغربت نيلي صوته ومظهره السيما ان الوقت كان مساءا بعد عودتها من الحديقة‬
. ‫الضيف عن نفسه انه هيثكلف ويرغب برؤية كاثرين بشدة‬

Of course, the return of Heathcliffe is a strange surprise and a shock to Nellie and
everyone.Nelly began to guess Kathy’s reaction to this news, but Heathcliff made her
quickly tell Cathy about the arrival of a guest from Ghampton waiting to see her. It
was pretty quiet.
‫ اخذت نيلي تخمن ردة فعل كاثي لمعرفتها بهذا الخبر‬، ‫بالطبع عودة هيثكلف هي مفاجأة غريبة وصدمة لنيلي والجميع‬
‫ فحاولت التحجج حتى ابلغت كاثي‬، ‫لكن هيثكلف جعلها تسرع في اخبار كاثي بوصول ضيف من غمرتون ينتظر رؤيتها‬
.‫ كان الهدوء لحد كبير‬، ‫التي كانت جالسة في غرفة الجلوس مع زوجها وايزابيال اخت زوجها ادغار‬

Edgar asked Nellie about the guest with indifference, so she told him that he was
heathcliffe, and she warned him not to describe Heathcliff with words that would cause
Cathy to mourn the value she had in her heart.
 ‫ادغار سأل نيلي عن الضيف بعدم مباالة فأخبرته انه هيثكلف وحذرته من عدم وصف هيثكلف بكلمات تتسبب في حزن‬
. ‫كاثي لما تحمله في قلبها من قيمة لهيثكلف‬
Catherine returns to the living room with great eagerness and pleasure And she asks
her husband, Edgar, to treat him kindly for her own sake, but she gets angry at Edgar's
suggestion to receive Heathcliff in the kitchen where someone like him should be.
‫كاثرين تعود لغرفة الجلوس بلهفة كبيرة وسرور وتطلب من زوجها ادغار ان يتعامل معه بلطف ألجل خاطرها لكنها‬
، ‫تستعر غضبا من اقتراح ادغار في استقبال هيثكلف في المطبخ حيث يجب ان يكون شخص مثله‬

Here, for the first time, Catherine appears disturbed by the class distinction between
her and her husband, as she speaks sarcastically and says what if she and Heathcliffs sit
at a table while Edgar and Isabella the nobles are at another table, but her husband
observes her request and agrees to receive Heathcliff.
‫هنا ألول مرة يظهر على كاثرين انزعاجها من التميز الطبقي بينها وبين زوجها اذ تتكلم بسخرية وتقول ماذا لو جلست‬
‫هي وهيثكلف على طاولة بينما ادغار وايزابيال النبالء على طاولة اخرى لكن زوجها يراعي طلبها ويوافق على استقبال‬
. ‫هيثكلف‬

Heathcliff is waiting to be called to enter without wasting time, and here, in the light of
the room, Nelly can clearly see the appearance of Heathcliff, according to Nellie's
description. Edgar by his side, skinny.
‫هيثكلف ينتظر ان يدعي للدخول دون اضاعة الوقت وهنا في ضوء الغرفة تتمكن نيلي من رؤية مظهر هيثكلف بوضوح‬
‫ حسب وصف نيلي فأن هيثكلف تغير الى حد كبير جسمه قد اصبح نما اكثر وقوامه بديع وشكله جميل وذو شارب‬،
. ‫طويل كأنه كان مجندا في الجيش للحد الذي بدا فيه ادغار الى جانبه نحيال‬

Everyone sits, Catherine's happiness was evident, and her eyes never came down from
Heathcliffe, he was not less happy than her, but he looked at her little. Edgar was
annoyed especially with Cathy advancing towards Heathcliff and holding her hand and
declaring her great happiness to see him again as if this moment was a dream.
‫ هو لم يكن اقل سعادة منها لكنه قليل ما‬، ‫ كانت سعادة كاثرين واضحة فلم تنزل عينها عن هيثكلف ابدا‬، ‫يجلس الجميع‬
‫ بدا األنزعاج على ادغار خاصة بتقدم كاثي اتجاه هيثكلف ومسكها يدها وتصريحها بسعادتها العظمى‬، ‫ينظر اليها‬
.‫لرؤيته من جديد وكأن هذه اللحظة هي حلم‬

Heathcliff explains that Cathy's pleasant reception made him change his mind about
the idea of his revenge on Hindley for what he had previously been subjected to, and
that he would go to Wuthering Heights after this visit, so Edgar hastened to invite them
to drink tea and eat food, Kathy did not eat anything so enthusiastic that Edgar did not
take his food because of his displeasure. From the position,
 ‫يوضح هيثكلف ان استقبال كاثي اللطيف له جعله يغير رأيه في فكرة انتقامه من هيندلي لما تعرض له منه سابقا وانه‬
‫ كاثي لم تتناول شي‬، ‫سيذهب لمرتفعات ويذرينغ بعد هذه الزيارة فيسارع ادغار لدعوتهم لشرب الشاي وتناول الطعام‬
، ‫من شدة حماسها حتى ان ادغار لم يتهنى بطعامه بسبب استيائه من الموقف‬
Nelly leaves the room and it doesn't take an hour until he leaves Heathcliffe who says
he will stay to Wuthering Heights as Hindley has invited him to stay there after
Heathcliff goes fast. Nelly is surprised by Hindley's call to Heathcliffe and wonders if
Heathcliffe intends corruption on his return, hoping to keep his misfortune away from
them.
‫تغادر نيللي الغرفة ولن يستغرق األمر ساعة حتى يغادر هيثكليف الذي يقول إنه سيبقى في ويذرينغ هايتس حيث دعاه‬
‫ يفاجأ نيللي بدعوة هيندلي لهيثكليف ويتساءل عما إذا كان هيثكليف‬.‫هيندلي للبقاء هناك بعد أن يذهب هيثكليف سريعا‬
.‫ على أمل إبعاد سوء حظه عنهم‬، ‫ينوي الفساد عند عودته‬

In the middle of the night Cathy wakes Nelly to ask her to share her happiness this
night as Edgar does not like Cathy's good talk about Heathcliff and calls her harsh
because she speaks like this in his bedtime. Cathy thinks Heathcliffe and Daggar
should be friends now without hate or envy, but Nelly disagrees.
‫في منتصف الليل كاثي تيقظ نيلي لتطلب منها مشاركتها سعادتها هذه الليلة حيث ان ادغار ال يحب حديث كاثي الجيد‬
‫ كاثي ترى ان هيثكلف ودغار يجب ان يصبحا‬. ‫عن هيثكلف ويدعوها بالقاسية ألنها تتكلم مثل هذا الكالم في وقت نومه‬
. ‫اصدقاء االن دون كره او حسد لكن نيلي ال توافقها الرأي‬

Cathy informs Nelly of Heathcliff's intention to buy a place near Thrushcross Krang
and from Wuthering Heights so that he can see her, just as Hindley, meeting with
Heathcliff, asked him where he lived and worked, then invited him home while Hindley
was playing with his friends with cards, and when he learned that Heathcliff had
become wealthy, he invited him to stay in the heights. And of course his greed will
make him sell the house to the cost
‫كاثي تخبر نيلي عن نية هيثكلف بشراء مكان قريب من ثروشكروس كرانج ومن مرتفعات ويذرينغ فيتمكن بذلك من‬
‫رؤيتها كما ان هيندلي بلقائه مع هيثكلف سأله عن مكان عيشه وعمله ثم دعاه للمنزل اثناء لعب هيندلي مع اصدقائه‬
‫بالورق وعندما علم ان هيثكلف اصبح ثري دعاه للمكوث في مرتفعات ويذرينغ وبالطبع طمعه سيجعله يبيع المنزل‬
. ‫لهيثكلف‬

Catherine talks about his past suffering in the absence of Heathcliffe, whom Edgar
knows nothing about, but she has now recovered from what she had previously
experienced, so that this night she has reconciled completely with herself and guided to
God and humanity and will never hurt anyone anymore, even if she decides to reconcile
with her husband immediately and describes herself as an angel.
‫كاثرين تتحدث عن معاناته السابقة في غياب هيثكلف الذي ال يعرف ادغار عنها شيئا ولكنها اآلن تعافت مما قد عاشته‬
‫سابقا حتى انها هذه الليلة قد تصالحت تماما مع نفسها واهتدت الى هللا واألنسانية ولن تجرح احد بعد اآلن ابدا حتى ان‬
. ‫قررت مصالحة زوجها فورا وتصف نفسها بالمالك‬
Indeed, Cathy is able to please Edgar to the extent that she obtains his approval to go
with Isabella to Wuthering Heights, as he scattered happiness in the house for several
days as a penalty for her husband who did not respond to her request.
‫بالفعل تتمكن كاثي من تطيب خاطر ادغار للحد الذي تنال فيه موافقته في الذهاب مع ايزابيال الى مرتفعات ويذرينغ كما‬
. ‫انه نثرت السعادة في المنزل لعدة ايام كجزاء لزوجها الذي لم يرد طلبها‬

Heathcliff seemed wary of his frequent visits to Thrushcross Krang in order not to
alarmed Edgar, but he later gave himself the right to visit without hesitation. Edgar
did not seem upset until he learned about his sister Isabella's attachment to Heathcliffe.
‫هيثكلف يبدو حذرا من تكرار زياراته لثروشكروس كرانج كي ال يثير قلق ادغار لكنه فيما بعد اعطى لنفسه الحق في‬
. ‫ ادغار لم يبدو عليه األنزعاج حتى معرفته بتعلق اخته ازابيال بهيثكلف‬. ‫الزيارة دون تردد‬

Edgar never agreed with Isabella's attachment to Heathcliffe, so that this news aroused
his anger and admiration, as he did not see that Heathcliff had really changed and that
it was a shame that his sister married a bastard, so his anger and hatred towards
Heathcliff increased.
‫لم يكن ادغار موافق ابدا على تعلق ايزابيال بهيثكلف حتى ان هذا الخبر اثار غصبه وتعجبه حيث انه ال يرى ان هيثكلف‬
. ‫قد تغيير فعال وانه لمِ ن العار زواج اخته من رجل لقيط فتزايد غضبه وحقده تجاه هيثكلف‬

Azbela, according to Nellie's description, is a beautiful and attractive girl at the age of
18, who has sharp intelligence and a gentle and solid feeling when her anger arises.
. ‫ تتمتع بالذكاء الحاد وشعور رقيق وصلب اذما ثار غضبها‬18‫ازبيال حسب وصف نيلي هي فتاة جميلة وجذابة تبلغ ال‬

The upset began on Isabella, but everyone justified it with her ill health, but as it
turned out, she argued with Cathy when she told her that she was tough with her by
trying to keep her away from Heathcliff, whom she loved so much.
‫بدأ األظطراب الشديد على ازابيال و لكن الجميع برر ذلك بأعتالل صحتها لكن فيما اتضح عكس ذلك بجدالها مع كاثي‬
. ‫عندما اخبرتها انها قاسية معها بمحاولة إبعادها عن هيثكلف الذي اصبحت تحبه كثيرا‬

Cathy is shocked by Isabella's feelings towards Heathcliff, which causes him to describe
Heathcliff with very bad qualities, to cause her to change her mind about his
association with him, so that Cathy says that Heathcliffs is an evil creature with no
morals and that he is a cruel and ruthless man and he must be greedy for Isabella's
wealth and lineage, which makes Isabella describing Cathy as a deceptive friend.
 ‫كاثي تصدم من مشاعر ازابيال تجاه هيثكلف مما يجعله تصف هيثكلف بصفات سيئة جدا لتجعها تغير رأيها في األرتباط‬
‫به فتقول كاثي ان هيثكلف مخلوق شرير ال اخالق له وانه رجل قاسي ال يرحم احد والبد انه طامع بثروة ازابيال ونسبها‬
. ‫مما يجعل ازابيال تصف كاثي بالصديقة المخادعة‬

Catherine and Isabella come out refusing to believe the words, and Heathcliffe
describes that he has an honest and good spirit, but Nelly also warns Isabella of
Heathcliff who has always kept up with Hindley and lends him money at the expense of
property and that this does not seem like an act of good intention.
‫تخرج كاثرين وازابيال ترفض تصديق الكالم وتصف هيثكلف ان له روح شريفة وطيبة لكن نيلي ايضا تحذر ازابيال من‬
‫هيثكلف الذي اخذ يسهر مع هيندلي دائما ويسلفه األموال على حساب الممتلكات وان هذا ال يبدو تصرف نابع عن نية‬
. ‫طيبة‬

Isabella is not convinced to speak and when Edgar was forced to go to a court hearing
outside the city, Heathcliffe came to Thrushcross Krang, taking advantage of Edgar's
absence, Cathy exposing the love of Isabella to be costly in front of him, but Heathcliff
gives a reaction that shows his exchange of feelings towards Azabella.
‫ازابيال غير مقتنعة بالكالم وعند اظطرار ادغار للذهاب في جلسة قضائية خارج المدينة اتى هيثكلف الى ثروشكروس‬
‫ كاثي تفضح حب ازابيال لهيثكلف امامه اال ان هيثكلف يعطي ردة فعل توضح مبادلته‬، ‫كرانج مستغال غياب ادغار‬
.‫لمشاعر تجاه ازابيال‬

Isabella shy and rejoices at Heathcliff's confession, so she presses her fingernails on
Catherine's hand until blood drips from her and out of the room. Heathcliffe appears
to be showing bad intent towards Isabella, but he does not show it to her
. ‫تخجل ازابيال وتبتهج ألعتراف هيثكلف فتضغط بأظافرها على يد كاثرين حتى يسيل الدم منها وتخرج من الغرفة‬
. ‫هيثكلف يبدو من كالمه انه يبدو نية سيئة تجاه ازابيال لكنه ال يظهر ذلك امامها‬

Nelly tells Mr. Lockwood that the frequent visits to Heathcliffe were like a frightening
dream for her and Edgar, which she prefers over Catherine because he is kind and
respectful and everyone trusts him. Cathy is not the opposite of him, but it is not his
qualities.
‫نيلي تخبر السيد لوكوود ان تكرار زيارات هيثكلف كانت كأنها خلم مخيف لها وادغار الذي تفضله على كاثرين ألنه‬
. ‫لطيف ومحترم والجميع يثق به ولم تكن كاثي عكسه لكنها ليست بصفاته‬

Nelly always wished that the lands of the Wethering and Kranj Heights would be
liberated from Heathcliffe's hands quietly so that he would not cause corruption in
them.
. ‫لطالما تمنت نيلي ان تتحرر اراضي مرتفعات ويذرينع وكرانج من يد هيثكلف بهدوء لكي ال يتسبب بفساد فيهما‬
