 WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OR UNDERSTANDING OF THE DISASTER?
A disaster is a major crisis that occurs over a short or long period of time and
results in widespread human, material, economic, or environmental loss that
surpasses the affected community's or society's ability to deal using its own
resources. A disaster is an occurrence or set of events that causes casualties
and damage or loss of property, infrastructure, environment, critical services, or
means of livelihood on a scale that exceeds the affected community's normal
capacity to cope.
 HAVE YOU EVER ENCOUNTERED ANY DISASTER? IF YES WHAT IS IT?
HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO OVERCOME?
YES, Natural catastrophes have the ability to cause extreme tension, worry, and
rage in people who are impacted. They are considered traumatic occurrences,
and survivors may develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of
them. Preparedness for an Emergency, Being prepared can help to decrease the
dread, worry, and losses that come with a tragedy. Communities, families, and
individuals should be aware of what to do in the case of a fire and where to take
shelter in the event of a severe storm.
 IN THE CLIMATE CHANGE, AS A STUDENT, WHAT CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE
IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE THE EFFECT OF CLIMATE CHANGE?
As a student, in order to minimize the effect of climate change, I can contribute in
lessening the effect of climate change by avoiding the use of single-use products
such as plastic utensils or paper towels. I will instead use re-usable items such
as metal utensils and handkerchiefs. Aside from that, I can follow the 3 Rs:
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Lastly, I can spread awareness about climate change
and get my peers to follow the 3Rs as well.
