RESEARCH QUESTIONS
! How is a simple closed circuit created?
- A simple closed circuit is can be created by
using these materials: electrical wire with
alligator clips, battery, battery holder, bulb and
bulb holder.

How does electric current flow through a

circuit?
- The electric current flow through a circuit when
the circuit is completed or closed, electrons will
flow all the way from one end of the battery,
*
through the wires, to the other end of the
battery.

What are some examples of conductors?

- Some examples of conductors are copper
penny, aluminum foil, soda can and paper clips.

What are some examples of insulators?

- Some examples of insulators are toothpick,
banana, and plastic.

How are conductors and insulators used in

your home helps to keep you from injury
cause by electric shock?
- Insulation prevents the wires from contacting
other conductors, thereby preventing electrical
shorts. Insulation protects people and animals
from electric shock by preventing live wires from
coming into contact with them.
