Kasiglahan Village National High School (KVNHS) has stood the test

of time. It remained unwavering to its commitment to quality and


liberating education amidst the daunting challenges at the frontier of
education brought about the pandemic. KVNHS’ s journey where it
hands in the education landscape is curved by history of excellence
and resilience. It is a home of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Four
(6884) diverse learners and 240 teachers; hence, the school has laid a
clear direction to the achievement of collective victory of keeping it
safe and conducive for learning. It is a roadmap that has been
achieved through rigorous implementation of the School Based
Management, TEA Governance and sustainable healthy relationship
with its community and stakeholders. At present, it is on its right
direction towards the attainment of its mandate, the delivery of
excellent services to the customers’ delight disposing every inch of its
goal with transparency, high form of ethics and deep accountability.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Established Head Quarter which served as the main office of
KVNHS’ Disaster Risk Reduction Management Team.

-Established new DRRM Team
Head Quarter were first aid kits,
gadgets, equipment, and relief
goods are kept and stored properly.
The head quarter served as the
office of the team where the DRRM
meetings were held.

SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Established Committees of DRRM which
composed of Prevention/Mitigation
Committee, Preparedness Committee,
Response Committee, and Rehabilitation
Recovery Committee.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Deployed the DRRM team for different committees,
four (4) committees for Prevention/Mitigation, four (4)
for Preparedness, eight (8) for Response and six (6) for
Rehabilitation Recovery, another one (1) as Asst. Deputy
Chief and one (1) as DRRM Chief, and posted and
disseminated Emergency hotline/contact number of
School DRRM (09354956432) for easy access. Also,
conducted KVNHS Relief Banking activity which aimed to
meet the basic subsistence needs of possible affected
people in the community in times of calamities. Lastly,
utilized School Budget report for SIP/AIP.

-Formed School Safety Team
and Child Protection Team to
accommodate issues of the
learners about bullying/cyber
bullying.

Anti-Bullying and Child -Assigned Safety Team and Child
Protection Committee Protection Team which composed of one (1)
Chairman, one (1) Vice-Chairman, and eight
(8) members and designed Anti Bullying
Policy and Child Protection Policy to
accommodate issues about data privacy,
cybersecurity, and safety relevant to
learning by establishing e-Guidance services
system.

- Purchased Safety Kits, Gadgets
and Equipment for DRRM Office.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Purchased, invested and Installed
newly First Aid kits, gadgets and
equipment like helmet, Life Vest, Spine
Board, Ropes, Rescue Gloves, Ham Radio
and Base Radio to be used in case of
emergency and disasters like Earthquake,
Fire, Typhoon, and others. Those were
also used during earthquake drill for the
team to be prepared in using it whenever
needed.

- Installed Fire extinguishers for
Fire Prevention purposes in school
premises.

-Installed five (5) new fire extinguisher
in school building facilities to ensure the
safety of all employees and visitors who
are in school premises in case there is a
fire incident happened.

- Conducted Fire Safety Training
in teaching and non-teaching
staffs for safety purposes.

-Conducted School- Based Fire
Safety Training to all teaching and
non-teaching staff to know how the
use fire safety equipment in case of
emergency.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
- Provided Hazard mapping and
exit plan within the school premises.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Conducted hazard mapping and posted visible exit plan
where all can find the safe area in the school. Also, to address
concerns in hazardous areas of the school and take action it to
avoid accidents.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
- Participated in Monthly
Earthquake Drill Simulation
Nationwide.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Participated in Nationwide on site and
Online Simulation of rescuing and providing
First-aid and Earthquake drill where every
Department executed proper briefing in
safety and emergency procedures where it
was successfully undertaken by teachers,
staffs and parents. Also, students
conducted Online Simulation were advisers
assisted the students to perform duck,
cover and hold with posted pictures and
videos as evidences.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
- Monitored the Tool on Infection
Prevention and Control in Schools
and Sub-Offices.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Adhered Guidelines on Required Health Standards in Basic
Education Offices and Schools where it was observed by the
monitoring team of District DRRM Coordinators.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
- Prepared the school as
Evacuation Center of kasiglahenyos
affected by the Typhoon Ulysses.

-Accommodated and assisted
172 families (891) individuals
who stayed in Kasiglahan Village
National High School during
Typhoon Ulysses that served as
evacuation center where the
evacuees can stay safe.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
- Conducted Donation drive for
Kasiglahenyos families who were
severely affected by the recent typhoon
Ulysses.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Generated cash donation of P 19, 871.93
and in-kind donation of P 2,924,265.00
where the victims of Typhoon Ulysses are
the beneficiaries.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Participated in the BRB4’s facilitation
on storytelling and group reflection in
the conduct of Psychological First Aid
(PFA) during Typhoon Ulysses to
affected evacuees from the of
community of Kasiglahan Village.

which aimed to reduce stress
from traumatic event.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Conducted National Service
Training Program (NSTP)-
Community Based Risk Reduction
Management last March 7, 2020.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Participated in a National Service
Training Program (NSTP)-Community Based
Risk Reduction Management facilitated by
University of Santo Tomas (UST) last March
7, 2020 where in 42 selected students and
some selected teachers attended. Both
teachers and students learned the
importance of first aid like bandaging, CPR
and determine the importance of
Community Based Risk Reduction (CBRR)
and National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management (NDRRM).
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Crafted our own school’s safety
protocols anchored on the protocols
of Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and
Department of Education (DOH)
wherein we provided printed
materials (Brochures) and for our non-
printed, we created Facebook Page
and YouTube Channel which is named
#Kasiglahenyos Report.

-Published one (1) brochure about
safety protocols and four (4) live
broadcasts via School’s Official
YouTube Channel #Kasiglahenyos
Report to reach out parents and
learners on the mitigation of COVID-
19.

-Executed wise and strategic
Safety Protocols in Sorting of
Modules and Weekly Home
Learning Plan, Distribution of
modules, Disinfection of areas,
retrieval of answer sheets and
modules which strictly follow
protocol and guidelines set by the
Inter-Agency Task Force or IATF
and the Department of Health.

-Produced one (1) infomercial on
Safety Protocols for Sorting of Modules
and Weekly Home Learning Plan,
Distribution of modules, Retrieval and
disinfection of answer sheets which
helped everyone to understand and
follow safety protocols.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Installed alcohol dispenser in
school premises for disinfection
use of school’s teaching and non-
teaching personnel as well as for
the visitors.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Installed and distributed fifteen (15) alcohol
dispensers around the school premises where
everyone can disinfect themselves. Five (5) alcohol
stand and disinfectants were donated by KVNHS
Alumni Association as part of their community
activity and installed in different area/building of the
school where visitors disinfect themselves.

-Ensured that teachers and
non-teaching personnel fill out
google form for contact tracing in
adherence to the health
protocols.

- Designed survey form for
Online Health Screening in
accordance with a
memorandum from Division
Office were Two Hundred
forty-five (245) teaching and
non-teaching personnel

where teacher’s health is
monitored.

-Conducted school-based
broadcasting of informative
simulations and topics during
virtual kick-off and accepted
Brigada Eskwela Challenge in
gathering donations and
supports from stakeholders.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Generated cash donation of
P32,271.93 and in-kind donation of
P5,067,529.50 with the total donation
received of P 5,099,801.43. As the school
had its renovations recently including
Brigada Eskwela office and DRRM Head
Quarters that helps for proper storage of
donations, provide with more fast and
efficient transactions with their
stakeholders.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Deployed volunteer teachers, LR
Riders and martials of the community
during the conduct of Ronda Eskwela
to properly disseminate information
as regards to school’s readiness for
the opening of classes.
-Assembled group and Assigned LR
Riders who committedly delivered
self-learning modules to learners
living outside the school community.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Deployed 85 volunteer teachers, 37 LR
Riders and martials of the community in
Ronda Eskwela to properly disseminate of
information with regards to school’s
readiness for the opening of classes.
-Assigned 114 LR Riders volunteer riders
who committedly delivered self-learning
modules to selected families with
challenges and special needs in getting and
bringing back the self-learning modules in
order to keep themselves away from the
virus and accidents.

-Performed Virtual Celebration
and Awarding Ceremony with the
theme: “SCIENCE FOR THE
PEOPLE: Gearing Towards the
New Normal in Times of
Pandemic.” via Facebook Page in
recognizing winners of the
participants in different activities
last October 2020.
IMPACT OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
-Performed the first School-based Virtual Science Month
Celebration with the theme: “SCIENCE FOR THE PEOPLE: Gearing
Towards the New Normal in Times of Pandemic.” Which included
of different online activities like Poster Making Contest,
“Panatang Yes ng Rizaleño” Recital Contest, Munting Taniman sa
Tahanan Student and Teacher’s Edition, Face mask and
Faceshield making contest, and Virtual Quiz Bee Competition
which happened last October 5, 2020. Winners were posted on
the official Facebook Page of KVNHS and Science Department
and via YouTube Channel #Kasiglahenyos Report. Despite the
pandemic the activity served as a bridge to students and
teachers so they can still be productive.
-The KVNHS Relief Banking is an activity implemented by the
DRRM in facing the challenging task of keeping the community
safe from any kind of vulnerability which aimed to generate
donations in-kind and to provide supports for those affected by
any kind of disaster. Relief Banking also aimed to strengthen
bayanihan act of the community together with the Local
Government Units (LGUs) with the partners and stakeholders to
build the reliance of the community.
-The KVNHS Relief Banking aimed to meet the basic subsistence
needs of affected evacuees in the community in times of
vulnerability.
