I. Objectives:
1.Explain basic concepts in shield metal arc welding.
2.Discuss the relevance of the course.
3.Explore career opportunities in shield metal arc welding.
III. Procedure:
A. Introduction/Preparation:
Let the students pick up some pieces of papers and arrange their chairs.
B. Teaching Modeling
1. Share a story about a successful welder.

Group activity:
Enact a situation showing relevance of the course SMAW and the

What can be the job opportunities available for the people who are
knowledgeable about SMAW?

1. What is the meaning of SMAW?
2. What are the five essentials in welding?
3. What do we call the electrical conductor that is melted and used to connect
metals?
