Subject: Examination centre at MPSO, Kendriya Sadan, CBD


Belapur, Navi-Mumbai.

1. In order to avoid impediment of space constraint at the Mercantile Marine


Department, Mumbai / Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai and to reduce
the time being taken for the completion of oral examination there by expediting
declaration of result, the Directorate approves the conduct of “Oral” examination
for Second Mate and MEO Class IV grade of examination at the below mentioned
address under the control of Mercantile Marine Department, Mumbai with effect
from June 2011.
2. The address where the aforesaid examination will be held is;
Minor Ports Survey Organisation (MPSO),
Kendriya Sadan, 2nd Floor, CBD, Belapur,
Navi Mumbai – 400 614; Tel No. 022-27564388/27564230.
3. However, the candidates are required to apply for oral examination booking as per
the existing system i.e., to Mercantile Marine Department, Examination centre,
Mumbai.
4a. The candidates, internal and external examiners to the examination Centre at Navi
Mumbai will be assigned by the Principal Officer, Mercantile Marine Department,
Mumbai.
4b. At any given time more than one panel may be made available at this examination
centre and candidates will be facing the assigned panel as per the serial numbers
assigned to them at the Centre.
5. This issues with the approval of the Director General of Shipping & ex-officio
Addl. Secretary to the Govt. of India.
