INTRODUCTION

historical associations with the word and because the word gay better reflects their identity.
Lesbian and gay people are more likely to experience, discrimination, harassment,
and bullying, than those that identify themselves as heterosexual. Some of the factors that
may reinforce homophobia on a larger scale are moral, religious, and political beliefs of a
dominant group.
Discrimination, harassment, and bullying of the lesbian and Gay are very rampant
nowadays. Where many people belong the lesbian and gay can’t live freedom because of the
discrimination, harassment, and bullying of other people of them .Also they can’t fully
access their right as a citizen because of discrimination, harassment, and bullying of other
people of them.
Gender equality of the lesbian and gay means to enjoy the same rights, resources,
opportunities and protections. It also means that lesbian and gay have “… agency to use

those rights, capabilities, resources and opportunities to make strategic choices and

This study is focusing the impact of discrimination among lesbian & gay member at
municipality of Magallanes and Cabadbaran City Agusan Del Norte. The purpose of the
study is to determine the impact of discrimination among lesbian and gay in school, society,
and relationship with their parents. And this study will be conducting the S.Y. 2018-2019.
The finding of the study will be significance to the area of experiences of every individual.
Family: This study will help the family to understand the lesbian, and accept their situation
Teacher: This will help the teacher to promote gender equality inside the school premises.
Society: This study will give them knowledge to promote gender equality among lesbian
Lesbian and Gay members: This will give them insight to continue their lives as a human

Lesbian and Gay has become a widely accepted designation for minorities based on
sexual and gender orientation. All members of these subgroups are subject to similar
prejudices rooted in beliefs and traditions about sexuality and gender. Lesbian and Gay
people, as members of a social minority group, are suffering from various forms of
socioeconomic and cultural injustice. The lacks of social recognition has an effect on the
capacity of Lesbian and Gay people to fully access and enjoy their rights as citizens. They
are more likely to experience discrimination, harassment, and bullying due to their sexual
orientation, than those that identify themselves as heterosexual. Highlighting some major
problems faced by Lesbian and Gay people across the world is the theme of this article

Magallanes Incorporated (1) gay having a relationship (1) one lesbian studying at

This chapter present the summary, findings, and conclusion of the study.
Recommendation are also offered in the light of the findings and conclusion of the study.
Summary
This study strive to know the discrimination, harassment, and the life
experiences of the lesbian and gay in our society. It show how people response and treat
them.
This study used the Phenomenology method. The respondent were the fellow lesbian
and gay of the Municipality of Magallanes and Cabadbaran City Agusan Del Norte who
experienced discrimination, bullying, and harassment in their life. Interview guide with

theory was formulated based from theory one: Gender Equality of lesbian and gay. This

Negative societal reactions, limited economic resources, racial prejudice, and limited
acceptance within their own cultural community. This article reviews the literature on this
population, which includes background information and empirical research. Research on this
population is scarce and often ignores factors that promote resiliency and well being.
Since the Discrimination, Bullying, and Harassment are the hindrance experience by
lesbian and gay. In the result show that is necessary to treat equal to avert these hindrance,
