· DO NOT SCALE OFF THESE DRAWINGS. All dimensions are in mm.
· This detail is to assist in the installation the DS Series Gas Fire.
· Wall board can be bonded directly to the faces of the appliance using construction adhesive. Screw fixing of wall board
only, in to wall lining fixing bracket above the glass opening.
· In hutch style, sealed cavity or units with a low top above a DS Series Fire, Escea strongly recommends the installation of an
insulating board to the underside of the top surface. This will assist in protecting heat sensitive surfaces from damage over
time. Refer to the DS Series Sealed Cavity Design Guide.
· It is advisable to secure the flexible flue to prevent movement, vibration and sagging - this may also assist in maintaining the
required 50mm standoff.
· 50mm clearance to all combustible surfaces for the first 1200mm of the exhaust flue - zero clearance beyond this point.
· Escea recommends calcium mineral boards for their insulating and heat resistant properties. Refer to the D-Series Materials
Guide for information on insulating boards.
· This technical sheet must be read in conjunction with the Escea DS Series Installation Manual, the latest version can be
