Performance Task 3 Coping Up With Stress
Performance Task 3 Coping Up With Stress
We all have certain things, situations, or people that cause us to lose our composure from time
to time. Determine what causes YOU to “lose your cool” by completing this activity. When you
begin to identify your stressors, you can become skilled at preventing negative consequences.
Place an X next to each factor that causes you stress. There are blank spaces provided so you
can add your own.
Write about your stress signals and Answer the following questions:
When I'm easily annoyed, frustrated, or grumpy, I know I'm stressed. I have a hard time
relaxing and quieting my mind. I know I’m stressed when I overthink a lot, especially at night
which causes me to have insomnia.
The most common stress signals that I have is nail biting, inability to sleep whilst having
constant fatigue, back pain, irritability, and lack or concentration.
I think I’m currently under a lot of stress. My stress usually comes from different school
works. Some teachers tend to give too many assignments (even too many problems in one
assignment tab) whilst not giving enough discussions and not enough time for us to submit. We,
sometimes, don’t get a lot of time to catch a break for ourselves. We even stay up the whole
night before the due date of the assignments in order for us to comply and that just hurts our
physical and mental health.
4. How are your stress signals different for different types of stressors?
I usually get headaches, back pain and confusion from too much homework and math
class. I also experience irritability whenever I am interrupted while I’m very busy and when
around loud people. I also suffer from anxiety whenever there’s no transportation and I need to
get to a place fast, and also when I lose something valuable.
5. What are some ways that you usually remove or reduce the stress that cause you
physical, emotional or behavioral difficulties?
To reduce my stress whenever I do have some, I usually withdraw from the situation and
breath a little bit, alone. Then I do other things that doesn’t involve anything that links to
whatever I was stressed about.
