The pie graph illustrates information about world water resources, and the bar

graph demonstrates the proportion ofutilizing water used for 3 purposes in three
different countries, namely Egypt, Saudi, and Canada.
Overall, it is clear that salty water makes up the largest proportion in the world,
and the percentage of ice water is hugest in three kinds of fresh water. Besides,
the utilization of water for agriculture is highest and for industry is lowest in Egypt
and Saudi, but this completely contrasts with Canada.
The vast majority of water in the world is salty water (97%), while fresh water just
accounts for 3%. In terms of kinds of fresh water, there are three kinds of fresh
water around the world. Ice water occupies up to 70% of volume of fresh water,
and the respective figures for ground water and easily accessible surface water
are 20% and 10%.
According to the bar chart, the percentages of utilizing water for agriculture in
Saudi and Egypt are 80% and 65% respectively, but the figure in Canada is just
under 10%. The opposite trend can be seen in the proportion of the utilization of
water for industry. The figure in Canada is highest, at 65%, but this is just under
10% in Saudi and Egypt. Finally, the proportions of utilizing water for domestic in
all three countries are from 15% to 25%.

Task 2: Some people argue that immigrants should adopt the local culture when
immigrating to a new country. An alternative view is that they can adapt to a
new environment by establishing a minority community. Discuss both views and
give your opinion.

In recent times, it is usually believed that those who move to a new country to
immigrate should adopt the local customs. Meanwhile, others think that
immigrants can adapt to a new culture by creating a small community. In the
following paragraphs, I will discuss both views before giving my opinion.
First and foremost, people should recognize the fact that every region has
different customs; therefore, when people live in a new region, they need to
adopt the local cultures. (There is no denying that immigrating to a new country
will make people feel quite strange because it can have many fresh rules that do
not fit their former lifestyles. However,) integration into a new community will
help immigrants to receive more supports from local people, which not only
allows them to lead their lives with more easeto more satisfactio but also brings
them many opportunities to easily find well-paid jobs or make friends.e support

On the other hand, I also think that immigrants can establish a new community to
adapt to a new culture. It is obvious that when in Rome, do as the Romans do, but
if immigrants have various perspectives on politics and religion compared to local
people, they can create new communities to meet their needs. A good case in
point would be that Vietnamese settlers who are living in the US have donated
money to organizations to construct pagodas with purposes to meet the demands
of their spirit.preserve cultural identity

In conclusion, some people argue that immigrants should build a new community
to adapt to a different culture, but I am quite in favor of the idea saying that
settlers should adopt a new environment when they live in a new region.
