Tohmas : Well, I´m a doctor and I go to the hospital from 06:00 A.M. to 04: P.M. every day. But
in the weekend I usually go out with my friends and have fun. Now, on Sundays I usually

and in the week end I normally eat out with my family.

LESSON 4: The seasons, the weather and clothes.

Case 1: Seasons, wheather and clothes.

Pilar: How may season are there in the year? Which ones are they?
Rita : There are four seasons: spring, summer, fall or autumn and winter. Spring is beautiful
for the flower and colors, but my favorite season is Summer. I love the sun and the beach. How
about you?
Pilar: My favorite season is winter because of the snow. I use to visit my cousins in New York and to play
in the park with the snow. It´s great!
Rita : What about the weather? What do you like to wear when the weather is cold, Pilar?
Pilar: I usually wear a coat, boots, gloves and scarf when is very cold and a sweater when is cool.
When is hot t- shirt, shorts, cap, sun glasses and sneakers or sandal. Do you?
Rita : Well, when the weather is rainny I always wear a rain coat, rubber boots and carry an umbrela.
And if the weather is cloudy, stormy or foggy I usually stay home and drive carefully if I need to go out.

is cute and young. And you?
Tina : My family is fantastic! My father, my mother, my two brothers and me. They´re
great! My father is a doctor, my mother is an English teacher and my brothers students.
And what about your grandparents?
Lily : They live in a beautiful house in the country. I use to go there in vacations and to visit some
of my uncles and ants. And of couse, play with my cousins too.

Mary : Hello, Rosa! Do you live in a house?

Rosa : Hi, Mary! No, I don´t. I live in an apartment downtown. It´s comfortable and in a good
area. It´s has one kitchen, a dinning room, a living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a
washing room and a nice balcony with a nice view to the city. It´s in a fifth floor. How
about you, Mary?
Mary : Well, I live in a house. It´s big and modern. In the house there are four bedrooms, three
bathrooms, one kitchen, one dinnig room, two living rooms, a garage for two cars, a big
back yard and a garden with with beautiful flowers in the front. Also a nice fence around
the house and a gate.
Rosa : Fantastic! It was nice talking to you, Mary!
Mary : Me too, Rosa! Good bye!

Case 3: Chores.

Hellen: Hi, Marta! How do you divide the time to clean your house? It’s big!
Marta: Look, I have a nice family and we help each other with the chores. For example when we finish
eating, everyone wash their dishes and clean the kitchen and the dining room. The kids make
beds and clean their rooms. My husband clean the yard, mows the lawn and clean the pool.
And me, I do the laundry, clean the carpet and the girls dust the furnitures. How about you?
Hellen: I live in a small apartment and I normally take the weekends to do the chores. On Saturdays I vacuum
the carpet, do the laundry, iron my clothes and take out the trash. My live is so busy like a doctor
because I usually stay too long at the hospital.
Marta: Well, I´m going to prepare a surprice lunch now. See you later!

Case 3:Adjectives Demostratives.

Tony: Hi, Luis! What´s the differece to use this or that?

Luis : Well, this is used when we can touch the objests or things nearby to us. Or we´re speaking about
specific topic or situation. For example: This is my car, family, country, problem, etc. So, use this is
for singular cases and these are for plural case.
Tony : Alright, I got it! And what about the use of that?
Luis : Okey, in this situation is when we point out the things or situations not nearby to us for example:
That´s my sister´s house. That is for the singular and those are for the plural. Right?
Tony : Now, yes! Thans for your help. Bye!

Case 3: Parts of the day.

Pilar: Hi, Rita! What´s your day like?
Rita : Well, I´m a teacher. In the morning I get up easly at 06:00 A.M. Then take a shower, have breakfast,
check the cass plans and go to school at 06: 45 A.M. In the afternoon i have lunch, come home, rest,
and night make my class plans, whatch TV and go to sleep normally at 11:00 o´clock. But in the weekend
I usually stay home with my family. How about you, Pilar?
Pilar : I´m a chef in a restauran and work always at night. So I come home at 04:00 A.M. take a shower and go to
sleep. So, I get up very late at about 01:00 P.M. Then I prepare my lunch, do the chores in the house, rest and go
to work at 07:00 P.M. But I love my job! Goodbye, Rita!
