1. Please cite at least two incidents in which Jose Rizal had bonding with his father, Francisco
"Tiniente Kiko" as fondly called by their neighbors.

Before his execution, Rizal went down memory lane, recalled his childhood, and saw his father by his
side in the most unforgettable experience of riding a casco or boat with a roof on their way to a
pilgrimage in Antipolo.Rizal dotingly remembered was a constant companion in his boyhood, who gifted
him with a pony he named Alipato.

2. How did his father mold Jose Rizal's life while the latter was still young? Relate it with your
experiences with your father's counsels or advices when you were growing up.

As I will relate my experiences how my father gave advises that I have to strive hard in study. Because
it's the only treasure that they can left to their children. My father taught me how to develop self-
discipline, self- sacrifice and above all to put God first last and best in everything.

3. If you are a gentleman, imagine how you are going to be as a father someday to your children.
How are you going to deal with them?

If ever I'm a boy and will the become the father I will follow what I've from my parents on how to
discipline children. Support their needs and maintain God's ideal of guiding a child.

Paciano Rizal: Jose Rizal's or Pinoy's Big Brother

1. Differentiate Paciano from Jose or "Pepe"Rizal in two ways.

Paciano Rizal is our national hero's older brother. He served as Rizal's guardian while the latter was
studying in Spain. Paciano was a huge influence to Rizal's life. He would constantly send money to Spain
and update his younger brother of the friars' abuses in the Philippines through letters.

According to her, “Saint Joseph was the putative (commonly accepted) father of Jesus Christ. In Latin, San
Jose's name is always followed by the letters “P.P” for pater putativus. In Spanish, the letter “P” is
pronounced “peh” giving rise to the nickname Pepe for Jose.”

José Rizal (1861-1896) was a national hero of the Philippines and the first Asian nationalist. He expressed
the growing national consciousness of many Filipinos who opposed Spanish colonial tyranny and aspired
to attain democratic rights. José Rizal was born in Calamba, Laguna, on June 19, 1861, to a well-to-do
family.
2. Even though they were different from each other, how did these two Rizal brothers help in shaping
the Philippines' future and made history?

The Rizal brothers help in shaping the Philippines future history for Rizal has been instrumental in the
Filipino's bid towards independence and several developments in various sectors. Rizal also made
contributions to Philippine art, literature, and medicine, which continues to fascinate his countrymen
today. Rizal's love for the Philippines was evident in nearly all his actions.

3. What were the similarities that Paciano & Jose Rizal despite their differences? Cite only two.

Both are Educated and National Hero
