What does the word “housekeeper” mean?

 The word “housekeeper” literally means “keeper of the house” or the person in charge of
keeping the house clean.

What does a housekeeper do?

 A housekeeper is responsible for a number of tasks such as:


o Cleaning every room of the house
o Doing laundry
o Ironing
o Making the bed
o Sweeping and mopping the floors
o Vacuuming
o Dusting
