Leaders for Excellence, Action, and Development – College of Home Economics,

casually known as LEAD-CHE, is a service-oriented, socio-political organization based in the
College of Home Economics, University of the Philippines Diliman. The organization aims to
serve its students, the University, and the Society, and since its inception, LEAD has been
actively involved in organizing various socio-political activities built on the LEAD’s advocacies.
The organization has also been involved in various outreach programs and leadership talks that
aims to hone the youth to become a leader in their own way.
In line with the College’s primary pillar of serving the Filipino Family, the Organizations
principle of Development through Social Justice and Excellence through Service, and in
celebration of the National Family Day. LEAD-CHE, in partnership with the Department of
Family Life and Child Development and the Department of Home Economics Education,
will be organizing a webinar this September 26, 2020 entitled, PAMILYA AT PANDEMYA:
effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the relations and dynamics of the Filipino Families,
which will happen via Zoom and will be aired Nationwide through Facebook Live. The event is
open to all, most especially that Filipino Families have been going through a lot, traversing
through this pandemic. The organization will be inviting secondary and primary school teachers,
students and other interested individuals from the college and other premier institutions.
In accordance with this event, may we invite your good office to formally refer and
endorse the said webinar to elementary and secondary school teachers, most especially to the
faculty members of the Values Department for this is a good venue for them to understand the
complex dynamics of Filipino Families and how it was drastically affected by the pandemic.
