H.S.4 Biographies can show how peoples’ actions have shaped the world in which we live.

Objective:

After watching a video about biographies TSW hold up yes or no papers for different scenarios
of who you can make a biography for or not.

A short description of the assessment and, rationale for why the assessment meets the
learning objective:
Pictures of different cartoon characters and real-life people will be on board in front of the room.
Students will each have a scoring guide/check list that has yes and no on each side and will
check off yes you can make a biography about them, or you cannot. This assessment meets the
objective oh understanding a biography and who it is for

This is also my technology-based assessment students will be observing pictures on the


overhead projectors and documenting yes or no seeing pictures on my computer.

Discuss differentiation for each assessment.


Differentiation is not needed for this assessment my students that I observed both are capable
of checking yes or no and holding up yes or no signs for each topic for a biography.
This is a student check list, assessment and grading scale all in one. The small box on right
side is used for teacher scoring guide and comments will be made on bottom of assessment.
