2. Summary
New software (v132) has been released for OTA and factory use with all models listed above, replacing v115.
This release integrates an updated Google Cast shell (v1.36), and the USB service jack can playback MP3 files.

3. Notes for Customer Service


3.1 The updated Google Cast shell will improve compatibility, security, and behavior.
3.2 USB audio playback is intended for tariff classification purposes and is not a customer-facing feature. To
use this feature (e.g. supporting a customs audit):
3.2.1 Install USB flash drive with audio files in the root directory.
3.2.2 Power on the soundbar. The onboard software will auto-play the MP3 files in alphabetical order
and repeat indefinitely.
3.2.3 Press the soundbar’s Source button to cycle through inputs (HDMI 1 → HDMI 2 → HDMI 3 →
HDMI-ARC → Optical → AUX → MP3). Note: This source is not accessible via remote control.

5.1 This update was posted to Sound United’s Over-The-Air (OTA) server. Soundbars connected to the
internet will check for updates at 2 AM each day. If the software revision on the OTA server is newer
than the system, it will attempt to download and install the latest version automatically.

5.2 Alternatively, the update may be performed via the USB service port:
5.2.1 Download the ZIP file from D-Media labeled “SU_CAST_0003” attached to this bulletin.
5.2.2 Format a USB flash drive using the FAT32 file system.
5.2.3 Create a folder in the root directory of the empty USB flash drive labelled “UPG”.
5.2.4 Copy the ZIP file into \UPG
5.2.5 Safely disconnect the USB flash drive.
5.2.6 With no audio inputs connected, power-on the unit with the USB flash drive installed.
5.2.7 The update will start automatically and reboot upon completion.
Note: Do not press any buttons on the unit or remote while the update is loading.
