5.1 This update was posted to Sound United’s Over-The-Air (OTA) server on 04JUN2018. Soundbars
connected to the internet will check for updates at 2 AM each day. If the software revision on the update
server is newer than the system, it will attempt to download and install the latest version automatically.

5.2 Alternatively, you can perform a USB update using the service port and a flash drive. Copy the latest
firmware onto an empty flash drive. With no audio inputs connected, power-on the unit. Insert the flash
drive, and the update will start automatically. Do not press any buttons on the unit or remote while the
update is loading. The system will reboot when complete.

5.3 If the system already has the subwoofer pairing issue, it is likely that the above methods will not work.
Please replace the customer’s soundbar. The subwoofer does not need to be replaced. Most soundbars
can be recovered at an authorized service center using the following methods:

Recovery Method 1: Rewrite firmware on TX module

a. Install the following files (from DMEDIA) in the root directory of a USB flash drive:
a. “AutoScript” folder
i. AutoScript.TSS
b. “UPG” folder
i. Wireless_TX.bin
ii. SU_CAST_0001.zip (v33 software)
b. Plug in the USB flash drive.
c. Power on the soundbar. The light show indicates update of the TX module.
d. Verify firmware version by pressing “Mute” “Mute” “Voice –“ “Bass –“ on the remote.
a. 01011 = v20
b. 00010 = v33
Note: 1 is a white LED and 0 is a dark LED. Read from top‐to‐bottom. It will cycle through all
firmware loaded on (System, DSP, MCU, HDMI, soundbar TX module, subwoofer RX module).
c. Alternatively, you can connect via Google Home and read the firmware version.
e. If the firmware version is v20, power cycle the system to initiate the USB update.

Recovery Method 2: Replace the TX module

a. If the above method does not succeed, the soundbar’s TX module must be replaced. Please refer to
the Service Manual on DMEDIA for disassembly instructions.
b. Access the main PCBA and lift the module from its 26-pin header.
c. Replace the wireless module and reassemble the soundbar.
d. Repeat Recovery Method 1 to ensure that the firmware is loaded.
