EA - Gatekeeper 2200 Model Line: Connected Utilities
EA - Gatekeeper 2200 Model Line: Connected Utilities
WAN flexibility
Honeywell’s EA_Gatekeeper enables utilities to change the wide area network
(WAN) media across the entire system or at a single point. The change-out
requires minimal service effort by the utility in the field, saving the cost and
time of returning the gatekeeper to the manufacturer for reconfiguration.
This also simplifies purchasing and inventory tracking, and allows the utility
to adapt its WAN communications to take advantage of future technology
development and price reductions.
The product is designed to support the most commonly used 3rd party WAN
communications options1 and the enclosure is sized with a physical space
designed to accommodate the majority of popular WAN hardware. See Model
2200 gatekeeper questionnaire for more information.
Highly configurable Reduced maintenance Easy to add or change 1. Modem hardware can be sourced by the utility or
third party WAN ordered through Honeywell as a separate line item.
Improved protection Easy to install

Note: The following installation literature is required for the Ethernet WAN styles listed above: IL42-5039.
The product above ships with all the necessary hardware required to install the gatekeeper 2200
with an Ethernet WAN.
If a 3rd party WAN option is needed, you can acquire the WAN hardware by purchasing it using
normal distribution channels or through Honeywell.
The following questions walk you through the Honeywell approved 3rd party WAN options for the
gatekeeper 2200.
If the modem is purchased using normal distribution channels or through Honeywell, a modem
installation hardware kit is still required. This kit includes brackets, fasteners, local externally
mounted antennas, and RF cables.
