About the Programme

NPTI proposes to start a 6-Months Certification Course on Regulatory framework &
Commercial aspects of Indian Power Sector in Online Mode. The minimum
qualification for admissions to 6 Months Certificate Course on Regulatory framework &
Commercial aspects of Indian Power Sector is a Bachelor degree in any stream. The course
is designed for both Engineers and Managers.
In the past, NPTI has conducted 5 No's of this 6 Months “Certificate Course on Regulatory
framework & Commercial aspects of Indian Power Sector” in online mode and received
an encouraging response from the Participants.
The proposed 6 Months Course would facilitate in understanding the Policy & Regulatory
framework that the Power sector has gone through since independence. The Course would
also enrich the Participants in providing a holistic understanding of Regulatory &
Commercial concepts like Tariff calculations, Open access, Trading etc. thereby enhancing
learning & growth prospects and improving the pace & effectiveness of Power sector
reforms at large.
Program Mode
The proposed 6 Months “Certificate Course on Regulatory framework & Commercial
aspects of Indian Power Sector” would be conducted in online mode. The Participants
would be sent ready reference Modules in Soft Copy alongwith assignments and are
expected to submit the assignments as soft copy within the prescribed time-frame from
their place. Monthly Modules would be E-mailed to Participants on the 1st Day of
respective Month. Assignments for the Modules would be E-Mailed to Participants by 20th
Day of the Month. The soft copy of completed assignment has to be E-Mailed back by 30th
of the same Month. All correspondence with the Programme Participants would be done
through E-Mails only. Medium of communication with the Participants would be English.
2 No’s of One-Day Online Programmes would also be conducted to address the doubts
of Participants.
Appraisals would be conducted at regular intervals and successful Participants would be
awarded with the Certificates.
