Implementing Rules and Regulations
Under the provisions of the advocacy campaign entitled Alagang Nurse, this states that Filipino
Registered Nurses with the necessary documents, skills, and education shall be free to
participate in this campaign, which focuses on providing health services and health education to
the community through volunteering efforts.
Guiding Principles
The Alagang Nurse advocacy and campaign is deeply rooted in the preservation of life,
respect for human rights, and promotion of healthy environment within a community as
the responsibilities of registered nurses.
Necessary health measures that are within the jurisdiction and scope of registered
nurses are done for the benefit of the community while establishing connections and
associations through local, national, and international efforts.
Infectious Diseases
In a case wherein the members and volunteers of the Alagang Nurse campaign would
come into contact of a confirm infectious disease cases, it shall be reported immediately
to the necessary personnel such as the Department of Health, LGU, and the City
Epidemiology Surveillance Unit.
All of those who came into contact with the infectious disease case shall be kept in
quarantine according to the recommended number of days along with the necessary
measures and interventions.
Misconducts
In case of situations wherein a volunteer would be proven to have done inappropriate
actions and/or used inappropriate language to any persons (fellow members, clients,
etc.), they shall be reprimanded and must face necessary consequences depending on
the recommendation of the legal counsel and according to the severity of the case.
Any member of the campaign who would be proven to conduct misbehaviors and
delinquencies that are against the regulations, Code of Ethics, and the law shall be
prohibited to perform any procedures immediately and shall no longer be acknowledged
as a part of the campaign.
