▷ Rajasthan has known as 'Land of King' comprised of its
physical beauty, hospitality, romance, legend, and its
aesthetic color.
▷ The Rajput Kingdom held its power for centuries and
demonstrated by a numerous number of forts and
palaces which were famous for their miniature
painting and crafted pattern.
▷ The Rajasthan architecture is an outstanding
arrangement o f colonial, Islamic and Hindu
architecture.
▷ Rajasthan stays as one among the major tourist spot
in India carrying a lavish architectural heritage.
▷ Out of all the states Rajasthan is tribally
diverse, artistically decorative, architecturally
magnificent and regal in India. It is impossible
to experience and absorb in a single trip the
magnitude of India offers.

▷ The climate of Rajasthan is generally hot and dry. However, the climate of Rajasthan can
be divided into four seasons, namely summers, winters, monsoon and post-monsoon.
▷ Summer -The hottest season of Rajasthan, summer, extends from April to June. The
temperature in this season ranges from 32° C to 45° C. The only place in Rajasthan that is
a little cool in summers is the hill station, Mt Abu. However, the nights in Rajasthan are
pretty cool, with the night temperature falling considerably.
▷ Winters - Extending from December to March is the winter season. The coldest month of
the season is January. The temperature ranges from 10° C to 27° C. However, there may
be considerable difference in the maximum and minimum temperatures.
▷ Monsoon - During the period of July to September, lies the monsoon. The temperature
ranges from 35° C to 40° C. The state receives approximately 90% of its annual rainfall in
this season only. It is the most humid season in Rajasthan.
▷ Post Monsoon - From October to November is the post monsoon season. The average
maximum temperature ranges between 33° C to 38° C, and the minimum is between 18°
C and 20° C.

▷ Architecture :
Jaisalmer nickname "The Golden city. The town stands on a ridge of yellowish
sandstone, crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate
Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples are finely sculptured.

▷ Traditional Houses :
People of Jaisalmer live in fort . Now many of houses has been converted into
shops. They use the golden stone for construction. Don't use any mortar ,
they make bond by using scissors in between the golden stones. The golden
stone is a soft stone hence, very nice carvings could be done over it.

▷ Cluster :
Cluster space is quite frequently found, particularly found in the upper city. It
is either a space which connects street of two or four sides or it is made by
widening a street at a particular point.
▷ Architecture :
The famous ‘Blue city’ of Rajasthan, Jodhpur, is one of the oldest
cities in India. It was founded in 1459 by Rajput chief Rao Jodha.
During British rule, Jodhpur was the largest Rajput state in terms of
land area, and its merchants rose to a position of dominance in the
Indian trade making it a very prosperous city.

▷ Traditional Houses :
Most of the houses of jodhpur have flat roof, and open courtyard
with decorative door, windows and balconies having elegant
balustrades screen. Main roads have double storied houses built of
stone with shop at lower level and residences above.
The houses have high plinth with project platform facing street,
which is used as interaction spaces. The houses had no opening in
form of jharokhas and small gateway of entry.
▷ Architecture :
Jaipur is colored pink even today. The dwellers of the city love her and
take pride in its identity. Today the Pink City of India stands as an excellent
example of a well-planned city that has survived the test of time. Even
today, the spaces envisaged by the two visionaries play a spectacular role
in the life of the people residing there.

▷ Traditional houses :
Jaipur is famous not only for its architectural heritage with the City Palace,
Nahargarh fort, Hawa Mahal, Govind Devji Temple, and Jantar Mantar but
also The Jawahar Kala Kendra by Charles Correa, which is an added
treasure for architecture enthusiasts and performers alike.
The city and the streetscape of the Pink City of India are famous for their
peculiar characteristic and urban fabric, which cannot be found anywhere
else. The stark contrasts of shadows on the structures and the pink hues of
the buildings, along with the niches of intricate ornamentations and
fenestrations, make Jaipur, a haven for photographers.
