Features and Benefits

The Road Output Extension for Autodesk® Civil Design 3 software is for road engineering
professionals who work on all types and sizes of road projects. The Road Output Extension
increases the functionality and capabilities of Autodesk Civil Design 3 by enabling you to
• Create an accurate surface representing a roadway design
• Add data to a surface that accurately represents a roadway design
• Quickly draw 3D polylines representing critical points of a roadway design
• Quickly draw a 3D polyline representing a boundary indicating the area influenced by a
roadway design
You will benefit from a more streamlined and efficient process that provides for the creation
of a surface or surface data directly from a roadway design, the creation of 3D polylines

Create a daylight Easy-to-use routine allows you to create a boundary that can be used in other
3D polyline surface or grading routines. Create a closed 3D polyline around the entire
boundary extent of a road. The polyline can be used as a surface boundary giving you
increased flexibility by allowing you to create a closed 3D polyline around a
subset of a road.
New menu Learn to use these new features quickly. All commands are in a logical order
commands in the Autodesk Civil Design Cross Section menu and can be applied to any
road that is designed using Autodesk Civil Design.
