Road Output Extension

Product Overview

The Road Output Extension for Autodesk® Civil Design 3 software streamlines and
automates the creation of surface models and contours. By reducing the number of steps
required, this extension brings greater efficiency to engineering professionals working on
any size or type of road project.
This extension simplifies an important part of roadway design: developing an accurate
surface representation of a roadway for inclusion in a model. It provides new interfaces to
create 3D Polylines that represent critical features along a road, and it adds more
functionality and capabilities to the surface model and contour creation features in Autodesk
Civil Design 3. The Road Output Extension consolidates what are currently many steps into
a very simple, automated process, providing these key benefits:
• Improved efficiency in developing surfaces that accurately represent a roadway design
• Greater ease-of-use in developing AutoCAD® entities from a roadway design
• More power to use roadway design data in developing integrated design scenarios for
