WAN Network in CISCO Packet Tracer

 Two Routers

 Two switchs

 Four computers

 A linke connects all components

 I also add IP address to them manually

• The design consists of two local networks (LAN) connected to each other
as shown in (fig.1)

• Two local networks for two offices in two different places near to each
other , lets suppose the first names is Babylon office and the second is
Baghdad office. One library consists of 2 host connected to the switch ,
which in turn feeds to the router, and this router is connected to the
second router of the second library. The goal of this connection is to send
a message between the two networks correctly and without any errors
• This is done by using CISCO Packet Tracer

• First I linked the computer and switch by fast Ethernet .

• Then I entered the IP addresses manually and also the MASK address of
all component.

• IP address associated with each interface.

• MASK address is 255.255.255.0 for my IP address

• And IP address is 192.168……. , As shown in fig.2

1. we will check the network by sending a massage from one computer to another on the
same local network it does not need to go through the entire network and check the IP
address because they are linked in the same switch and as shown above its successful,
there is no link error 7
2. The second massage sent from the same computer to the second computer on the other
local network , this will need to check the address of the message in the router table and
make a hop from the first router to the second and sent it to the switch and then to the
correct computer , and its also successfully as shown above 8
2. The last massage sent from the router 1 to the computer on the same local network its
doesn't need to go to the other router on the second network, its directly go the correct
computer that had the correct IP address.

- Another example I used also WAN network but now I put server ( DHCP)
which is help me dispense with entering the IP of each device. It will
distributed the IP address to the computer automatically.
