It is nice that there is a video like this that further explains how important analytics is in

the business. I want to commend the speaker for giving a precise information about what
business analytics is, how it works, and its importance. According to what I’ve watched,
analytics is very essential as of today, it helps business to identify the past happening, what
might happen in the future and what action they should do. In other words, those data that the
analytics are gathering are useful to identify the different problems and threats that the business
is currently facing or may face in the future. And through the help of analytics, people inside the
business institution are able to think of different possible alternatives to solve the different
problems and threats in the business, so that they can avoid business downfall. Therefore,
analytics has really a huge participation in making a significant decisions and insights for the
business to reach success.

Furthermore, I like how the speaker tackle the analytics lifecycle. He emphasized that in
getting data we need to follow a cycle in order for us to get precise data. He further stated that
we should not rush in analytics, because rushing will crash us and there is a big possibility that
the data that we may gather are erroneous that may be the reason of turning data into waste. Like
what the speaker had said in the beginning of the video, upon getting data we may encounter
messy and garbage data that is need to be clean and scrub before it become useful. Also, I like
how he presented the 5 analytics lifecycles, he made sure that he presented it to the way that is
easy to understand. I do also appreciate his effort in giving example to enhance his explanation.

Let me share with you how I interpret the important function of analytics in a business. I
know this is weird but I want to connect human life to analytics. I used the blood and brain to
interpret the importance of analytics in a business. The blood and brain that are significant to us
humans because these two helps our body to function properly. They are one of the important
reasons why we exist.

And, the same goes for business, a business also needs significant things that will help
them to generate or function. Let us say that data is the blood of business, just like blood that is
continuously flowing in circulating in our veins for bodily function, data are doing the same.
Data is the one that is flowing in order to circulate and generate information for the business.
Data is the basis of all the business decisions and transactions that helps the company to reach
success. But we should also be careful in getting data we should not rush because we may get
erroneous data that can lead to erroneous business decisions. And the brain of the business is no
other than the people who analyzes the data. The people who identify and defines solution
through gathered data. Through this interpretation I’m able to understand that analytics is really
significant to a business, that analytics serves as the foundation of business to reach success.

And as a student who studies business analytics, this video really interests me it made me
want to know more about analytics. I love how the speaker explained how important the
analytics works. Also, he made sure that the talk was not boring and easy to understand. And
what interests me the most upon watching the video is his explanation about the analytics
lifecycle. I like how he explained every cycle, he made sure that it is easy to understand. He also
emphasized the importance following different steps and procedures in order for us to get precise
data. Lastly, I like how he emphasized that we should not rush in getting relevant and precise
data. Because rushing getting a data it might just crash on burn, it will just go on waste.

"If you rush into this, you may CRASH" this specific word had a big impact on me. I'm
such a very impulsive person, I often act without planning and thinking carefully. I always do
whatever I want without thinking the consequences of my action. And this video made me
realized that rushing things are not good. I’m an aspiring accountant, and as an accountant in the
future I need to follow different procedure in order for me to properly evaluate and analyze
different transactions. This video isn’t only taught me to further understand business analytics
but it also an eye opener for me to be always responsible to my actions.
