Slicing a .stl file in Cura with suitable parameters and 3D printing using the FDM
process

Aim:

This is Experiment on 3D printing of a statue using the software ultimaker cura.

Software Requirements:

The software used to make the 3D printing is Ultimaker cura.

Procedure:

Step 1: Go to Thingverse website for the selecting the model.

Step 2: download the stl file of the model.

Step 3: upload the stl file in ultimaker cura for checking the remaining parameters.

Step 4: check the parameters like temperature, bed heating, raft for the base and the
measurements of the model and finally check the silicing time.

Step 5: After setting the sutiable parameters for 3D printing convert the stl file into g codes
Which should be for printing the model.

Step 6: Copy that g codes files to the card reader.

Step 7: keep the memory card to the machine.

Step 8: Start printing the model by giving the parameters in the software and transfer to the
machine.
