My ideal barangay or community is the one where peace, prosperity, happiness and equality
prosper. It must also be a safe place where respect to each other is observed and God related activities
are practiced freely.

The most important element of a community is its people. Every other element basically focuses
on the needs of the residents or people in the community. The barangay serves as the administrative
unit of the government in implementing the policies, plans, programs, projects and activities in the
community. The police and fire departments ensure the safety of the people from unlawful activities
and fire incidents. The market and other businesses in the community sells the basic needs of the people
and the church provides for their spiritual needs. There is also a school that provides the youth with the
much-needed education and a hospital for the people’s medical needs. For their recreational activities, a
gym and playground are also available.

These basic elements have their own purposes to make the barangay ideal.

4. Five rules (axioms) that people in the barangay should follow for your community to prosper
or succeed:

a) Always be honest.
b) Always follow the law/rules.
c) Always respect others.
d) Always be cooperative and helpful.
e) Always stand for what is right.
