WORK METHOD STATEMENT

PROJECT NAME – ITC Infotech -Green Center

WORK METHOD STATEMENT FOR LIGHT WEIGHT BLOCK WORK –

100/ 150/200 MM THICK

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this method statement is to carry out the BLOCK work by meeting the
technical specification and complying with Standards.

SCOPE:

The scope of this method statement includes 100/150/200mm thick BLOCK work at ITC
Infotech -Green Center while executing, it in accordance with technical specifications.

 Water Level Check
 Hammer and Chisel
 Measure Tape

MATERIAL USED:

 Approved cement
 Ready mix Mortar or CM 1:4
 Solid Blocks – 100 /150/200mm Thick
 TMT Bars
 Aggregates

WORK METHOD STATEMENT
SAFETY PRECAUTION:
 Induction to all the personnel involved by Vendor safety manager.
 Toolbox talks will be conduct regular by safety manager
 Issue of a permit by PMC Managers.
 Use of appropriate PPE.
 Barricading if required
 Prevention of use of any hazardous material
 Appropriate supervision.

PROCEDURE:

 Mark the area as per approved / GFC drawing


 Hack the area wherever required
 Wet the marking area and put cement slurry before placing the wet mortar
 Use the Cement Sand Mortar for the First Coarse if the floor undulations are more
 Mix the ready-mix Mortar as per the specification
 Place the ready-mix Mortar on the initial marking
 wet the blocks in water 30Minutes before placing it over the wet mortar
 Place the blocks according to the height specified in the drawing
 Keeping in mind each block to be kept by sandwiching the two with 2-3mm thick
ready-mix Mortar or as per the manufacturer Specified thickness
 100mm thick RCC band of M15 ratio will be provided at every 1 mtr interval
 Curing will be done for 7 days or specified by the PMC/ architecture

7. RESPONSIBILITIES.

 Construction Manager: He shall be responsible for overall management of


construction activities.
 Site Engineer: He shall be responsible for Executing in safe work method as per
Drawings and guide the supervisors and work men.

 QA/QC In charge: He shall be responsible for ensuring the quality of work &
material as per the Specifications and standards.
 HSE Manager/Engineer: He shall be responsible for assisting to
engineer/supervisor to ensure the safety of workers during the progress of work.
 Safety inductions of each staff and workers shall be done and daily PPE check to be
done and toolbox talk shall be carried out before the start of work. General safety
awareness as well as safety precautions and guidelines for activity to be carried out
in that day shall be discussed.
 Stores officer: He shall be responsible for storing of all materials. Also responsible
for maintaining the record of incoming and outgoing and up to date stock details of
materials.
