Hello!! Vamos a empezar a trabajar con un tema nuevo: PAST CONTINUOUS OR PROGRESSIVE (Pasado continuo o
progresivo). Para eso te recomendamos que veas el siguiente tutorial sobre el tema.

Ahora vamos a focalizarnos únicamente en las oraciones afirmativas. Leé la siguiente información.

Past Continuous or Progressive (Pasado Continuo o progresivo)

 Usamos el Pasado Continuo para hablar de acciones que estaban ocurriendo en un momento específico en el
pasado.

Ejemplo: I was walking and they were playing football. (Yo estaba caminando y ellos estaban jugando al fútbol)

 Para formar el pasado continuo se utilizan los verbos auxiliares

WAS/WERE y el verbo + ING. Tené en cuenta el verbo “to be” (was/were) que le corresponde a cada persona.

I-He-She-It - WAS

You- We-They- WERE

Form affirmative.

I WAS PLAYING

YOU-WE-THEY WERE PLAYING

HE-SHE-IT WAS PLAYING

PARA RECORDAR.

 La mayoría de los verbos sólo agregan -ING pero hay algunas excepciones a la regla.

 Los verbos que terminan en una sola –e pierden esta vocal y añaden -ING

Write - writing have - having come - coming

 Los verbos de una sílaba terminados en “vocal + consonante” duplican la consonante y añaden ING.

put - putting stop - stopping shop - shopping

c) 10.00 - 12.15: - did some paperwork

d) 12.45 - 01.30: - grabbed a bite

e) 02.30 - 03.30: - cleaned his flat

f) 04.00 - 06.00: - had a nap
