Inconstientul Emotional Proiect
Inconstientul Emotional Proiect

Intuition is in some sense a catch-all category. It refers to gut feelings that we sometimes have. We can do a careful
analysis that suggests this sedan is the one that I really ought to buy. At the same time, mm, I kind of want that sports
car,
00:29
I kind of want a different sedan. What's the nature of that gut feeling? Why can't we access the source of that gut
feeling so well? That's one sense in which we mean that you have an intuitive impulse. We can also say that
judgment is automatic or intuitive if it once was very deliberate. When we're learning, let's say, the game of
chess, we're often thinking step by step
00:57
and verbalizing in our heads what the best thing is to do. But over time, all of that becomes routinized, and
then (SNAP) boom, we just see it and make the correct judgement. You see this in the context of choking. You're
really good at a physical activity because it's all automatic. It's just intuitive. And if you then start to think about it in
deliberate propositional ways, you call attention to these things that
01:25
need to be automatic, your game comes completely unglued. [MUSIC PLAYING]
constitutivă a unei emoții.
Coates.
Biasurile cognitive
HOMAS D. GILOVICH: People who study judgment and decision making and have observed, as every human being
has observed, that we sometimes make mistakes when trying to predict the future, understand the past, understand
other people in our current environment. We sometimes engage in faulty decisions. And intuitively, people
understand that many of those mistakes are produced by our motivations, that we want certain things to be true,
00:40
THOMAS D. [continued]: so we're looking through the world, we're looking at the world through rose-colored
glasses. And that distorts things. That's motivational bias. The field of judgment decision making has highlighted a
number of less intuitive influences, or less intuitive causes, of erroneous judgments and problematic decisions, which
is we're trying to get the answer exactly right.
01:11
THOMAS D. [continued]: It just seems to be the case that it's this way, when in fact, it's not. So for example, when I
get up in the middle of the night and happen to glance at my digital clock, it seems like much more often than should
01:22
be the case that it's either saying 2:22, 4:44, et cetera. I have no interest in it being. It's not like I want that. So I'm
making that mistake, not because my judgment has been distorted by my hopes and wishes. It's just that's the way
that the world seems. And in fact, it's not the case. And there are all sorts of erroneous beliefs like that that we don't
want them to be that way.
01:51
be the case that it's either saying [continued]: It's not like again, our motivations are getting in the way. It's the world
doesn't play fair. It presents some information readily to our attention and hides others, and gives rise to cognitive
biases.
