Activity #1 Recruitment and Selection

Joven D. Sayod

BSBA HRM 1-1

1. Find a company or an organization and define its recruitment and selection process.

Workers are picked during the procedure of Internal Job Posting at the Coca-Cola
Company in order to cultivate the capacity and abilities of its employees (Charan, 2011).
Employees are invited to contact a specific department for more detailed information
about the position once it has been listed. They will interview suitable individuals after
receiving the job posting application. If an internal candidate is to be transferred, the
director or supervisor will work with the employee's present supervisor to set a start date.
External recruiting, on the other hand, gives a larger variety of options and is thought to
be of better quality since organizations will have the opportunity to acquire experienced
personnel while also reducing training time and costs.

2. Do you think they are doing the process correctly? Why or Why not?

Yes, in order to recruit experienced and skilled employees, the Coca-Cola

Company has an effective and well set up recruitment process. The process supports the
company in defining job responsibilities and jobs in an appropriate manner. To recruit
individuals for the positions and jobs, the company follows both external and internal
recruitment processes that enable them to recruit experienced and skilled employees.
Also, the company follows a well set up recruitment process that comprises of
advertisement and registration, job application, shortlisting, first interview, psychometric
testing, the second interview, references as well as offer.
