Area of the EXTERIOR (Apartment 1): Front


view: [(6m) x (4.1m + 0.6m)] = 28.2 sq.m Left

C.Plastering at an average of 16mm (0.016m) thick


For the Exterior:
Area of two sides = (2) (5866.296) = 11732.592 sq.m.
Volume = 5866.296x 0.016 = 93.86 cu.m.
Using class “B” mixture 40 kg. cement, multiply:

Cement: 93.86x 12.0 = 1126.328or 1127 bags


Sand: 93.86 x 1.0 = 93.86 cu.m. For the
Interior:

Area of two sides = (2) (229.704) = 459.408 sq.m.


Volume = 459.408 x 0.016 = 7.35 cu.m.
Using class “B” mixture 40 kg. cement, multiply:

Cement: 7.35 x 12.0 = 88.2 or 89 bags


Sand: 7.35 x 1.0 = 7.35 cu.m.

D. Footing
Exterior:
Length of footing: 40m + [(4) (8m)] + [(5) (2.5m + 2.5m +1m)] = 102m Using
class “B” mixture 40 kg. cement, for a 15 x 40 cm footing, multiply:

Cement: 102m x 0.450 = 45.9 or 46 bags


Sand: 102m x 0.030 = 3.06 cu.m.
Gravel: 102.75m x 0.060 = 6.12 cu.m.

Interior:
Length of footing: (5) [2.35m + 7m + 2.4m + (2) (2.5m)] = 83.75m Using
class “B” mixture 40 kg. cement, for a 10 x 35 cm footing, multiply:

Cement: 83.75m x 0.263 = 22.026or 23 bags


Sand: 83.75m x 0.018 = 1.51cu.m.
Gravel: 83.75m x 0.035 = 2.93 cu.m.
E. Rectangular Beam and Girder
Volume of the Beam: [8m – (0.2m x 4)] x 0.15m x 0.2m x 52pcs = 11.232 cu.m
Volume of the Girder: [40m – (0.2m x 7)] x 0.15m x 0.2m x 26pcs = 30.108 cu.m.
Total Volume: 11.232 + 30.108 = 41.34 cu.m.
Using class “A” mixture 40 kg. cement, multiply:

Cement: 41.34 x 9 = 372.06 or 373 bags


Sand: 41.34 x 0.50 = 20.67 cu.m.
Gravel: 41.34 x 1.0 = 41.34 cu.m.

F. Rectangular Column
Total length of the 56 columns: (4 x 3.36m) + (24 x 2.5m) = 73.44 meters
Using class “A” mixture 40 kg. cement along 20 x 20 cm, multiply:

Cement: 73.44 x 0.360 = 26.4384 or 27 bags


Sand: 73.44 x 0.020 = 1.47 cu.m.
Gravel: 73.44 x 0.040 = 2.94 cu.m.
Footing slab area: 28pcs x 0.80m x 0.80m = 17.92 sq.m.
Using class “B” mixture 40 kg. cement along 20 cm thick slab, multiply:

Cement: 17.92 x 1.50 = 26.88 or 27 bags


Sand: 17.92 x 0.10 = 1.79 cu.m.
Gravel: 17.92 x 0.20 = 3.58 cu.m.

G. Slab (using 0.10m)


Total area: (40m x 8m) – [(20) (64m x 0.150m) + (20) (11.7m x 0.100m)]
Total area: 104.6 sq.m.
Total volume: 104.6 x 0.10 = 10.46 cu.m.
Using class “A” mixture 40 kg. cement, multiply:

Cement: 10.46 x 9.0 = 94.14 or 95 bags


Sand: 10.46 x 0.50 = 5.23 cu.m.
Gravel: 10.46 x 1.0 = 10.46 cu.m.

H. Architectural Design
Total volume: (3) [(3.069 cu.m. + 5.0555 cu.m. + 5.325 cu.m.) + (6.02 cu.m.)] Total volume: 64.469

• Using class “B” mixture 40 kg. cement, multiply: Cement:
64.469 x 12 = 773.63 or 774 bags Sand: 64.469 x 1.0 =

I. Steel Reinforcement for CHB work

Total area of the fences (exterior and interior): 5866.296 + 1249 = 7155.30 cu.m.

a. Vertical Reinforcement at 80 cm, horizontal


reinforcement spacing every 3 layers: 7155.30 x 1.60
= 416.08 meters
