All c501 modules with S/N 0743-01 to 0749-20.

Summary
The manufacturer expects an increasing number of defective USM devices within the next months for
all those USM which are inbuilt in the modules S/N 0743-01 to 0749-20. Therefore all three USM
devices should be exchanged by new ones.

For defective parts of other S/N circles please use the common warranty process as you use it today.

Action
Please exchange all inbuilt USM devices by new one. Resend the old parts in a proper package via RA
process for a clear credit action.

Note: Please mark WARRANTY on the RA-form in order to receive a credit note.

Reasons of Change
Higher failure risk for the USM devices installed in the c501 modules S/N 0743-01 to 0749-20 is
expected. Reason is a wrong peeling process during USM production which is solved in between.

As described within the appropriate chapter of the Service Manual.

Details
The improved versions of the USM devices have lot numbers from XXX9000 onward.

Interchangeability
All parts are interchangeable.
