• Research question:
• Would it be better to work directly under a captive company or under an independent claims
adjuster business?
• Thesis
• Ultimately, a person who wants the most potential for profit, or most independence, should
pursue a career as an independent agent.
• Claims
• Independent agents can pick up claims outside of specific company boundaries, allowing them to
take on more clients.
• With being able to get the chance to pick up multiple claims as an independent agent comes a lot
of successful communication.
• Being able to have time off and doing what you love is a bonus of becoming an independent
agent.
