A. Not applicable.

4. Fault Isolation
SUBTASK 32-20-00-810-051-A
A. If there is a grinding noise from the NLG during taxiing or towing:
(1) Do the lubrication of the NLG shock absorber as follows:
Ref. Fig. Location of the Fluid Injection Method (Absorber Assy - NLG Shock)

NOTE: One lubrication is not always sufficient to stop the noise. It is usually sufficient to do the
lubrication procedure two or three times to stop the noise.
(a) Use the SYRINGE to add 0.5 l (0.1 USgal) of Mineral Hydraulic Fluid-Damper - - (Material
Ref. 02BBB9) through:
- The upper hole of the leg on the internal wall of the barrel.
1 Make sure that the hydraulic fluid flows down to the ring that has a layer of airflon.
(b) If the fault continues:
- Do step (a) again.
(c) After the lubrication of the NLG shock absorber, if there is too much fluid in the NLG shock
absorber:
- Do a check of the area after the subsequent NLG retraction or flight cycle.
- Clean the area.

NOTE: After this lubrication procedure, it is possible that there will be too much
hydraulic fluid in the NLG shock absorber.
This hydraulic fluid will:
- Come out from the upper hole of the leg when the NLG is retracted
- Flow on the NLG barrel and on the adjacent area.
(d) Operate the nose wheels Ref. AMM 32-51-00-720-003.

NOTE: The NLG shock absorber will turn by plus or minus 45 degrees.
(2) If the fault continues:
- Remove the WHEEL-NLG, 1 (2659GM) WHEEL-NLG, 2 (2660GM) and install them again
Ref. AMM 32-41-12-000-001 and Ref. AMM 32-41-12-400-001.
(3) If the fault continues:
- Do the troubleshooting procedure Ref. TSM TASK 32-20-00-810-801.
